Anybody else notice that A&M beat both of the teams that were in the Big 12 title game?

Anyway, Cotton Bowl bound!
My wife is an A&M fan and still learning about football. I gave up trying to explain how this happened. Personally I think its horseshit, but I am sure there are many on here that will patiently explain to me how Oklahoma AGAIN jumps teams due to technical issues instead of winning on the field. :)
Agreed.

But then again, I think Nebraska should have beaten OK in the big 12 game, but once again, we self destructed and cost ourselves a win.

Personally, I think we got shafted in the bowl game matchup.

Man I went to bed last night and forgot to watch the show with the bowl matchups.

Your QB is young and needs about 2 years, plus he has been hurt. I watched that whole game and Nebraska has some talent that will play at the next level. Sooners won on the field not much that I can bitch about that, but I still think it should not have been them there.

Brady yea you got screwed in the bowl matchup, you will take that by at least 14 points.

WC Standford at VA Tech, have you watched any VA tech games this year? This actually could be a good game to watch.

boise state in the maaco bowl… can’t wait!

/sarcasm/

^ Playing Utah that is kind of a slap in the face, since both of these schools have struggled to be taken seriously. Again the BCS bowl system blows.

I was going to say something about A&M needing to mature a bit before a BCS bowl, but if BCS means UConn and nonBCS it means LSU…well, it is actually pretty ridiculous.

Had there been much chatter about an unranked team playing in a BCS game?

I am sure there is but not on here, every year is the same thing. A few good matches, a few WTF matches and then a shit ton of blah whatever matches. I will end up watching probably 90% of them no matter what, but not much we can do about it.

Very pleased to see Stanford in the Orange Bowl, especially against a team that they will destroy (Virginia Tech).

Also, definitely going to make it up the the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl at AT&T Park up in San Francisco. I was there last year (BC vs USC) and football in that venue is definitely a treat.

Anybody going to make it to bowl games this year? Anybody going to make it to the BCS Championship?

I agree, I will also watch 90% of the games as well. But my Huskers vs. the Huskies? We played them already this year, why the rematch? I guess its all about the money.

I think the BCS matches will all be great games to watch.

So what are peoples predictions for the NC game? Oregon vs Auburn??? Lets hear it
The question should be Greg how many points will be scored. I mean it will have to be the highest scored BCS game in history. Are we going to have final scores in the 40’s, 50’s?

Auburn by 4 points on Cam late minute drive and score by him running in a TD.
I bet the scores end in the 40’s… The thing about Auburns D is that they SUCK against the pass and especially against big receivers, which isn’t exactly Oregons speciality. I still think Oregon will win (and by 10 points I think) but we’ll see. This over a month layoff definitely favors Auburn more than it does Oregon.

Oh and get out of here with you Vince Young-like finish to the NC game! Even though I agree that newton is like young… He won’t do shit in the NFL

Stanford VS Va Tech is pretty good but the ACC sucks and I wish Stanford coulda played someone from a different conference. It would have been nice to see them play Arkansas… That way the pac10 would go 2-0 I’m BCS games against all that “SEC SPEED” and shut up the stupid media. (I HATE when news people talk about the ‘SEC speed’ but I won’t get into that lol)

Yeah that is bullshit. Two years in a row Boise has been screwed out of a chance at playing one of the “big boys” of college football. The BCS is scared to see them play and win like they did against Oklahoma.

Boise got screwed in their bowl again.

Hahahahahahahaha I was wondering if anybody would catch that. Man Cam has the mojo, you all can give me shit for it but I have been watching football for a long time. Sometimes it is just not about the X’s and O’s, for some unknown reason fucking luck rears its ugly head.

MOJO Cam wins it, and you can come give me much shit if it doesnt happen.

VT is on a roll they have won 11 straight games. Stanford should be playing Wisconsin in the Rose bowl that would be a good matchup for them. I agree that the acc is not very good but the pac doesn’t have too many ranked teams either. They have #2 and an overranked #4 who haven’t beat any ranked teams. The pac 10 is the worst of the four big conferences. There is a good chance the pac goes 0 - 4 in bowl games.

True,
but San Diego is beautiful. You could play a better team, but you could go to worse places.

Wait. You think we would get steamrolled by Stanford? We have one of the top receiving corps in the country and one of the top, if not the top quarterbacks, to throw to that receiving corps, in the country. Along with one of the top rushers in the NCAA.

You think Stanford, which ranks 85th, eight-fifth, 8…5, number eighty-five, on the strenght of schedule, would really show their prowess against a team that went 9th, number 9, on the strength of schedule according to the NCAA?

They played the number 4 ranked team, Oregon and lost, and the number 15 ranked team and won. That’s it the whole year. They ended up with 11-1 after that really difficult schedule. Wow. Something to really crow about.

We played number 1, 7, 19, 21, and 5 over the course of the year and ended up 10-2.

I can see we would have serious reason to be worried.

Cannot afford Pasadena. Prolly venture over to Dallas for the Armed Forces bowl. May do a road trip to San Antonio or Shreveport for one of those games. Or I may just save my money for Omaha.

The only other sporting event I will ever go to is the CWS in Omaha. Sadly I will not be able to attend Bowl Games until this last kid gets out of the house. 3 more years.

you obviously dont know much about or dont watch much college football if you say that the pac10 has a #2 team in the country that “hasnt beat any ranked teams.”

also LMAO at “the pac 10 is the worst of the four big conferences.”
