Texas loses to Iowa State? wow.
I think this makes our loss to Texas hurt even more.
No way. It just proves that we weren’t the only one who emphasized that game. Texas likes to pretend that it was just Nebraska who built that game up, but let’s not bullshit: They circled that date on their calendar as much or more than the RRR. Best evidence? Losing to Iowa State at home a week later.
If Texas never lost to UCLA and didn’t have two weeks off before the Nebraska game, there is no way Texas walks out of Memorial with a win.

LSU has pretty much lucked into their standing, UGA is gonna keep struggling against better programs (see arkansas), and bama has shown that it can be beat…
My only concern is can auburn defense hold teams to under 20 pts… if they can i think they can run the table…
SEC Championship: USC vs Auburn

I thought South Cal was banned from the BCS or whatever because of what went down when Carroll was there?

Pardon the ignorance but I don’t live in the U.S.

Pretty sure he meant South Carolina, since the University of Southern California isn’t in the SEC. Also if the PAC 10 did have a championship game (they don’t) they could play in it - just not the bowl game that would come after.

after this weekend auburn looks good… even if cam can’t throw his threat of running makes auburn’s option plays that much more dangerous…
But he can throw. His mechanics are very good. Since it hasn’t had to become a weapon yet, people naturally assume he can’t. Well, I’m here to tell you he can & he will. Just read a article that says 3/4’s of the NFL GM’s are drooling hard & heavy over him. He is basically NFL ready now. Very little work outside of the speed of the game will he need to concentrate on.
I’m not a Auburn fan either. Born & bred a Terp. I just state the facts.
Okay this looks more accurate in my opinion.
I am not sure if Oklahoma deserved to be in the top ten though, maybe 11 or 12.
Yea but the top 5 was what I was really looking at. I dont see how this year if we end up with an undefeated Boise or TCU that a one loss team makes the championship game.

As long as he is not like JeMarcus Russell. He had all the size, speed etc. I really dont know or read about the kid mentally. Just seen a few highlights.

not saying that he can’t but he’s been relying heavily on his running capabilities…

Newton is a solid kid mentally etc. Part of the reason he went to the junior college was his fathers insistence that he change his outlook and attitude. While there he had to bust his ass (including cleaning the stadium) with absolutely no glory given to him. He has become much more humble in his attitude and has a much tougher work ethic. I say he is gonna be a solid player at the NFL level and the rest of the season.

Thanks good to know, also good to know parents that get it and make a big difference in a kids life. Is he a junior or senior?
^He’s a jr transfer. So I think he has one more yr. His parents live in the greatest city in all the USA. College Park Md… HA!! His dad is a minister & I forgot what his mom does, but def. have been a steady influence on him.
^ So do you think he will come back next year? I know if I was any college underclassmen this year is not the year to come out early. What if there is a strike in the NFL next fall?
^ Well his parents sound like good smart people. All he would need is one career ending injury and then what is he going to do, be Al Bundy for the rest of his life. Smart thing is for no under classman to come out this year, but that is just me thinking fiscally.

I agree, but part of me feel that Newton and even Ingram may come out early because their stock is high now.
Personally, I dont think there will be a strike. But money talks louder than anything these days.
^ If you were really in that spot, Newton or Ingram would you take that gamble? Honestly if you went out early got drafted and then a lock out, you DONT get your contract until it is over. Could you go without getting a paycheck? They are doing it now (maybe) so they are somewhat protected. I know the flip side about getting hurt next year etc. But that is a hell of a gamble.
