Ingram has to be right back at/near the top of the Heisman list yes? Bama went back to that ground game when the game was really on the line and in question and him(and Richardson) came through. Mallet’s 2 late INTs(and the loss) probably kill his hopes?
I wouldnt go so far as to say kill his hopes, one solitary roadbump doesnt hijack the entire season.
I would, Mallet has no shot at the Heisman after that loss. He was solely responsible for the meltdown and everyone saw that. He made extremely pore decisions against a fairly bad pass defense, simply cracking under the pressure. I think he’s a great athlete and a great pro prospect, but he let it slip big time today.

Ingram on the other hand defintely put his name back in the hat as he baisically put the team on his shoulders and ran away with the win (after Mallet so kindly placed it in 'Bama’s hands).
Did he fall apart in the second half or did the Bama coaches make adjustments at half time? That game looked like a tale of two halfs. I don’t think we’ll know the answer until both teams have palyed a few more quality games.

Boy did I get the Texas/UCLA game wrong and Boise doesn’t seem to be startled by OSU’s speed so far

I saw the end of the Bama game, and when Malllet tanks, the whole offense tanks.

I want a nickel for every arm tackle I have seen, you cannot bring these guys down with bumps and shoves. I can’t stand looking at this blue turf.

As well as Ingram played I think the game ball should go to the o-line, those guys were making some huge holes.

The first article on ESPN Insider this morning is titled “Heisman Predictor: It’s Over For Mallet”

Welp,

I am a LOT less worried about Alabama right now than I was a week or two ago.

Trey Burton… 6 TDs. Alabama… not very impressive, considering Mallet basically handed them the game.

I really hope we’re witnessing another Leak/Tebow dynamic here with Brantley/Burton.

Bama showed themselves to be vulnerable, they are not untouchable.

Next week should be another good one…

Texas vs Oklahoma ( think the luster of this is gone with Texas losing already, but this is downright war every year.)

Florida vs Bama.

Stanford at Oregon (I call this the Pac-10 title game, these are the two best teams battling it out.)

Oklahoma. Not looking bad, and it’s going to be close, but I think they’re going to pull this one out.

I’m usually ridiculed for picking who I actually think is going to win concerning teams that I’m a fan of, instead of my home team. I’m going to keep with the trend, and pick Florida. Maybe it’s partial hope, but again, I’m feeling good about this Florida team. This dual QB system looks familiar…

I got Oregon, by 2 TDs.

I think Texas is going to get completely annihilated… Based on he schedule I can see 3 more losses this season… especially after the UCLA game. They don’t have anything going for them on either side of the ball.

Wrong. This should be one of the best games of the week, but I think Stanford pulls it out. Oregon has looked good, but against joke teams.

You know a season is still a “win” if the team wins the Red River Rivalry, even if they lose to everyone else. I won’t count texas out until the game is over. And certainly, OU has a habit of letting opponents back into games late…

OU isn’t that great this year either. Also, UCLA runs the funky pistol offense (not that I fully know what it is lol), which also was a big factor. Cal gave up 52 pts to Nevada’s pistol offense last week, but gave up 10 pts to Arizona this week (and 10 pts combined in its first 2 games against cupcakes).

I hope I’m wrong… I won’t lie am an emotional fan and when shit hits the fan as far as football is concerned I’ll usually be the first to say “we’re fucked”

I can see us losing to OU, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and A&M. I hope I’m wrong… but we’ve played 4 games and every single one has looked terrible with repeating problems that they haven’t been able to fix. I think this is definitely rebuild year and we’ll come back strong next year.

12 starting Freshman and sophomore QB yea man we have a long year.

All I know is that Stanford is looking real fucking good right now. I like them to roll right over Oregon and take the Pac-10.

Tough loss for us considering we were up 20-7 at one point. Mallett let it go somewhat but I won’t put it all on him. Our defense was not up to the task of holding them, which they should have been, at least better than they did.

But I’ll say this, I had my questions about Ingram and the Heisman last year but damn son, that man can move and cut better than anyone his size I have seen. And Richardson is just damn-near as good.

We had it but we couldn’t hold it. Like I said Mallet is somewhat to blame but I agree with what one of the guys from Bama said earlier about the Bama coaches making adjustments at halftime, Saban is no idiot for sure and he saw something that he exploited.

That was painful but damn that was a good game.

Texas dropped to 21st about what I thought would happen, just hope we can get our shit together this week.

I know Texas looked bad against UCLA but its not like OU looked amazing against Cincy either. Plus add in that its a big rivalry game and I think Texas has a shot.

I like the way you think.

LUCK FOR HEISMAN!

I won’t be able to get to the Oregon game because of work, but I will be at Stanford Stadium the next week to see our defense destroy Matt Barkely. I can’t wait for that.

The pistol is when the running back lines up behind the QB when he is in Shotgun formation.
Texas has a secondary, it was built to go against the spread offense that most of the Big 12 runs. They looked like shit, but one game does not make a season.

I agree one game does not make a season.

I think the OU vs. Texas game will show if Texas really has a lot of problems or the UCLA was just poor performace all around. I think this will be a good game because we get to see how good or bad both teams really are.
