2010 College Football

I think Texas murders UCLA.

Boise wins close because they have been resting for weeks.

Bama vs. Arkansas- The games puzzles me. Last year I heard about how great the Arkansas offense was and they got hammered. This year they gave up 400 yards to a craptastic Georgia O missing its best player. On paper it looks like Albama will be able to ram the ball down their throats. But still this game has an ugly feel about it. I’m going to go with bama winning, and puling away running the ball in the third and fourth quarters. I also predict one of the starting QB’s doesn’t finish the game.

Oregon State got one of it’s boosters to donate $8,000 so they could paint their practice field blue in preparation for Boise State. Ridiculous.

They’re still going to get smashed, and then they’re going to have to fly back and look at the ugly blue practice field that they now have in their own back yard.

You know this is one of those things that if Oregon State pulls this off ESPN will be all over this for years. If they get their asses killed you will never hear about it again. Just makes me shake my head, when a coach does this is does NOT seem like a strong message to send to your players. “I know we are going to get beat so I will pull this gimmick of painting our field”.

^^^

Agreed, you’d think a coach would say “We’ll crush them no matter where we play them,”

I totally agree! This game is pretty tricky. As a Florida fan, I quite obviously have to root for Arkansas. I think they have a shot… but surprisingly, not because of the offense. I’m expecting a mid-scoring game (31-24, something like that,) but I’m expecting big plays to be had by both defenses. I know that the Hogs let up a decent amount of yards to Georgia, but that’s a division game… this is going to happen.

Arkansas’ defense has been surprising me with their reactivity and foresight into a lot of things that offenses are doing. I don’t know if that’s something that should be credited to Arkansas’ players or coaching staff, but I’ve been thoroughly impressed so far.

My final for Arkansas/Bama… Bama 38, Arkansas 28.

And by the way, just so I can say that I called this from a far, Florida IS going to have a difficult time with Kentucky this week… and that’s not a knock against Florida. Kentucky has been quietly getting better every year for the last few years and have themselves a somehwat formidable team (by UK standards, lol.)

Agreed, I wouldn’t call Kentucky a good team but they are going to be one of those teams that bites somebody everywhere.

The Rodgers brothers will run wild.

I would like to see UK beat Florida, cause then we will see Florida lose two times in a row since they will be playing Bama next.

OUCH! Go Bama!

Hahaha. We’ll see - it’s not that I’m not worried about Bama (because I am, I predict we’ll lose,) but I still think that Bama got Florida’s absolute worst effort last season, and I think the remaining Florida players from last years’ team are going to be a little miffed about that… because that game last year was bullshit!

UK has been getting better, kind of like Vandy. Wait…well, Ole Miss would say that anyway. And watch out for that powerhouse Jacksonville State.

Pitt looked horrible last night. I feel sorry for that Mason kid with the dislocated knee he suffered, if you saw it on TV it was nasty looking.

True, but here is the thing, with Florida next three games there is a change that they could lose the next 2 of 3 games.

Next three games are UK, then Bama, then LSU. It will be interesting for them.

Gameday!! Heading out to tailgate. It’s going to be a great day! Go Hogs!

WOO MOFO PIG SOOIE!!! Hope the Hogs can pull this one out, at least have a good showing.

I really like 'Bama, but kind of hope that the 'Backs can knock them off and make things interesting.

Can’t wait to watch my Cardinal roll over the Irish.

South Carolina vs Auburn, I’ll take the old ball coach in that one and go with the Game Cocks.

Stanford will beat the Irish bad today, I just think Notre Dame needs to get off their high horse and get back to fundmentals.

I think you meant Auburn instead of Bama, The Gamecocks should win it, the only thing that will go against them is if their QB has a horrible day on the field.

I think Arkansas will win it by a field goal, maybe a OT game today.

I don’t see it man, unless Arkansas plays damn near perfect. Arkansas has to be able to run the ball and they haven’t shown that they can so far. I just can’t see Mallet torching the Bama defense with his arm, unless he has a running game to help him.

I also think the Razorbacks will need to get some cheap points early, maybe off an interception. They need to keep the crowd in the game.

Arkansas’s stadium isn’t huge, but it’s one of those places that looks like the fans are right on top you. It can get pretty damn loud there.

As an aside, the stadium is also located on one of the coolest campuses you’ll ever see.

man fuck Texas… this is the ugliest game I’ve ever watched. humph…

It is an ugly game. Texas needs to get their act together or they will have an embarrassing lost.
