^Dustin I have not watched a OU game this year, but could it be you QB still needs time to develop? I know he got a lot of time last year, but he was never really given the reins. Being the 1st string man takes time, there is no way to prepare for every possible situation in a football game in the off season. Just my two cents but I would start looking right there.

I guess this could have something to do with it. What concerns me is his body language and how easily rattled he gets at times. Even in some of his poorer performances last year, he seemed to never get too down on himself.
In two games, against inferior opponents, he has had times where he gets happy feat in the pocket and is rushing his throws and missing receivers by several yards. Totally uncharacteristic of him.

Yea man but he was NOT the guy last year, he was the stand in. Less pressure when you know that the #1 will eventually come back. You can just say “Hey I am the back up I am doing the best I can”. When you are #1 they make mistakes like get rattled, happy feet, fumbled snaps etc. This just may not be his year. I have come to terms with that with Gilbert it is not a matter of will he fuck up but when.
Some good games this week…
Boise State vs Oregon State.
Alabama vs Arkansas.
UCLA vs Texas (the only reason I am citing this is UCLA’s win against ranked Houston last week.)
South Carolina vs Auburn.
West Virginia vs LSU.

Gameday is going to Boise to follow that bandwagon, which is sad because 'Bama/Arkansas is the superior matchup, and the superior Gameday site(weather, fanbase, conference game/rivalry, etc). Part of me wants to like Boise because they perform well most years recently(blah blah schedule blah) but then part of me just hates this insane media koolaid.

That is what i hate about ESPN, they jump on the bandwagon of whoever is popular or good at the moment. I can understand gameday going to Boise mainly because its their last and only crucial game for the season.
The game that interests me the most is UCLA vs. Texas. Not sure why, but I feel this could be a game with a huge upset.

No Brady this is what you secretly hope will happen. Admit it, that would make your weekend.
Texas will win this one, the OU game is the one that is up for grabs.
I have Oregon State beating Boise State, good luck handling the Rodgers’ brothers.
I have Texas over UCLA, I don’t think lightning will strike twice.
I have Bama over Arkansas.
I think the reason that Game Day will be at the BSU - Oregon St. game is due to the network that game will be aired on ABC/ESPN. I think the Bama - Arkansas game is on CBS.
I’m speculating so don’t quote me on any of this.
Plus, they just had a Gameday with Bama.

I forgot about the TV aspect, yes the Bama/Arkansas game is going to be on CBS. Also I suppose Bama did just have gameday at their PSU game(although this is in Little Rock! =p) and this is probably Boise’s last ‘big game’(Nevada may sneak their way into the top 25 by the time of their late matchup in week 10/11ish)…
But I still hate it =p. Fuck that blue turf too.

x2
Have it anywhere but on smurf turf.
I wonder how Oregon State painting their practice field blue will come into play. I personally think its brilliant, playing on a non-green field would disorientate the hell out of me.
I got-
Boise over State
Bama over Arkansas- I think this one is going to be really high scoring but the tide keeps rolling.
Texas over UCLA

If these were confidence picks, I’d have Boise with a low number, but still picking them to win. Agree on Texas and Bama. Arkansas should be able to get up some points, but there’s 0 chance of them stopping that ground game + play action to Julio Jones.
Going to add in the other ranked matchups to this list:
South Carolina @ Auburn: Gamecocks, fairly decisively(10+)
WVU @ LSU: LSU, closer than it should be, afraid to pick against them in a night game in that stadium though.

Nope, I want Nebraska to give Texas their first lost of the season, it be a nice payback. ![]()

Okay what will be the score? I will say 17-14 Texas.

Of course Gameday is going to follow the bandwagon. It’s the nature of business. It’s kind of like how Notre Dame gets so much more love than they deserve.
That said, Bozo State is going to get upset by both Nevada and Idaho.
mike
I’ll take Arkansa over Bama by 3. Bama’s defense is highly suspect and they’ve played no one yet to display it. They can definitely score but so can we. It will be a shootout.
And fuck ESPN. We don’t want them here anyway.
The game is not in Little Rock, the game is in Fayetteville.
The 'Bama/Arkansas game will not only be a great game, but will also have huge Heisman implications. If Mallet leads the Razorbacks over the Tide, he’ll take the lead in the race. If Ingram can carry his team, I think it will definitely put him right back in the face.

Nebraska wins 31-13
But I know it will be much closer than that, but my Huskers still get the W.
