BTW, Muschamp to Florida. Stupid hire.

I dont know… He’s a ‘Florida Guy’ and is a good defensive coach. I’m sure he could do wonders with Floridas D. They could be nasty.

Pretty good timing for him getting out of Texas. No clue how long he’d be the “head coach in waiting” (total bullshit if you ask me) and now he’s got a sweet gig in florida.

All true but I expected Fl to hire a proven head coach. Texas fan base is fucking LOSING it. Also, he is supposedly taking Major Applewhite with him. I’m not sure what position he will be.

I definitely agree with good timing to get out of Texas. I never understood Assts “waiting” around for some old fart to retire. Mack should have already retired. Some of their fans are talking about burning his house down. Geesh.

All we did was FOI some phone records to get rid of our piece-of-shit coach.

some people just take sports way too seriously lol. Thats pretty wild. isnt Applewhite a QB’s coach?

He was. I can’t imagine Muschamp making him the OC. Probably pulling him over to be QB coach there as well.

Cam Newton wins the Heisman… Luck number 2.

Anyone surprised?
Negative. He also won the Maxwell and the O’brien awards. Complete and total bullshit. Not surprised at all though.

Yeah my dad had this whole scheme worked out and he was shopping me around constantly and making a bunch of phone calls…but I didn’t know anything about that.

Right.
I was actually surprised that Luck was number 2. I thought it would be James but I guess not. Thats two years in a row that a Stanford guy was number 2 in the Heisman race and it wasnt the same player. Thats pretty wild. I wonder if thats ever happened before?
I love that Stanford’s getting some serious national attention now. Our program will continue to rise.

If your Luck, do you stay in school and head into next season as the Heisman favorite? or enter the draft with a pretty sure shot at being number one overall?

WC, how much talent does Stanford have coming back? You’ll have to excuse my ignorance on the team, but I could see him coming back with a loaded team. Doesn’t he have a pretty good relationship with Harbaugh? Its always tough to delay gratification especially with the money rookies are making.

Something for Luck to think about is the new collective barraging agreement. They’re really trying to push for a rookie pay scale which would decrease all these crazy rookie contracts. If I was him I’d get to the league now and get that big check before then change things up? (assuming that they don’t get that figured out before the draft)

Imagine how polished Luck would be if he waited another year. There is always the chance he gets hurt, or his stock goes down like Locker, but I think it would great to see high profile athletes staying in school.

I would go with the draft. What more does he have to prove at this point? I will use a former Arkansan as an example. Dmac, Darren McFadden, was runner up two years in a row. I’ll be honest, I think he deserved the Heisman more his sophomore year than his junior year but either way he was runner-up twice. It did nothing for him in the draft and there’s no guarantee that Luck would win it so I would take the money while I could. Also, what Greg said is a big consideration as well.

muschamp as florida’s new HC… need any UT fan’s honest opinion on the guy and DJ ure thoughts would be much appreciated…

all i know about this guy is that he’s bounced around the SEC before landing at UT… he’s had some success and he was the DC at UT… thoughts?

Great point. Business wise Luck should definitely enter the draft this year, he’s a lock to be the first QB off the board and is a pretty sure shot to be the #1 overall pick. I’d enter if I was I was lucky enough to be in his shoes (pun intended).

He’s a Stanford boy though, so getting the degree is a big thing, and a shot at the Heisman is pretty tempting…

He fell into a fairly good situation at texas… so he had instant success. Not to take away from his abilities… hes great… but as upset and disappointed as I was… I believe Texas can fair well without him… he is replaceable. He’ll do well at UF hes young and has tons of energy… I think he’ll make a great head coach.

I still hate him with a passion for leaving out of nowhere.

Hitler finds out about Muschamp:

Hitler Longhorn Rant - YouTube!

I wonder what kind of season Texas will have next year with all these coach changes they had.

Also, Mike Leach’s name isn’t even being mention with the coaches openings. I wonder if no one wants to touch him.

mike leach to UF would be awesome… guy has a pirate fetish tho thats kinda weird but still great offensive minded coach

12 Frogs graduated yesterday. 5 are already working on masters degrees.

Have to see who he brings in, OC,DC,OL,DL and RB coaches all gone. All new staff, I say its a 50/50 shot. If he doesnt make a bowl game this year Mack is gone no doubt. If he gets a winning record and to a bowl game, will have to be his best coaching job he has ever done.
