2010 College Football 2.0

Texas is in for a few not so great seasons IMO. There are some other quality teams in the big 12 and it seems the power has shifted a bit. That can all change with one or two players turning into studs but with Oklahoma being as good as they are and with Tech and Ok State putting together solid teams I see Texas struggling for a few seasons (struggling by Texas standards would be ok/good for other teams)

Well Greg that is the problem is production on the field, they have the recruits. But is coaching going to make a difference? Are certain players going to produce? Not like you have a bad news bears group of kids. So it stands to reason it could go either way in my opinion. If they get the right coaches and have the right players and game plan they could stay on top. A few mistakes and then they will be middle of the road.

Frogs finish 3rd in the Academic BCS, Bama is 8th.

Nebraska has now lost one good coach, we may lose another.

Crap!

Watchin Boise v. Utah. Cheering for Utah but it’s not gonna happen. I have to admit I was pulling for the Boise kicker on the FG. 16-3 Boise at half. Boise ran a fake extra point. Was a sand lot play and Utah stopped them. Hope Utah wins by a point.

What is a Ute?

^hahahahahahaha that is what always pops in my head when I hear that.

Ironic that the game they get to come back to play are against my Huskers, lol.

Woohhh!!! Go SDSU. The football team was terrible when I went there, but they have a chance to win their first bowl game in forever.

I can’t stand watching Navy play. I hate their gimmicky offense.

I’ve thought for a long time that SDSU is a sleeping giant, especially in baseball. There is no reason for them not to be competitive, especially in the gutted MWC. They are currently in the Top 10 in men’s basketball. There is no reason the baseball team should not be pushing TCU for the conference championship every year but Tony Gwynn is an underachiever. Even when they had Strassburg and Cory Vaughn they gagged in the conference tournament in Ft Worth (granted TCU did too) and 6th seeded Utah won the conference. It looks like the football program is finally on the way.

Baseball is a confusing one because there is so much baseball talent in southern california and hardly anybody down here wants to go to SDSU. It’s obviously some type of recruiting problem. Maybe since the basketball and football programs are picking up, it will bring more attention to the schools athletics.

Who gives a shit… they can shove their liberal arts degree up their ass. TCU is so full of themselves in those regards… If you want to brag about academics etc… TCU isn’t where you start.

Not directed at you unless you are one of those people.

What the FUCK NCAA???

Now they let 5 Ohio State players slide and play in the Bowl game but will suspend them for the first 5 games of NEXT season?!?! What the hell? Saying the players didn’t know what they were doing was against the rules? Getting tattoos for dirt cheap, selling jerseys, cleats and your conference championship rings? They didn’t know that was against the rules?

After the Dez Bryant suspension for lying and not actually breaking a rule with that lunch and then the Bush thing they’re gonna pull this Ohio state ruling at the Cam Newton ruling? Wow… Just wow

I think the question is of the 5 players who will return next year? 5 games is a shit load in college ball, almost half the season.

I say only 1 of the 5 come back, the rest declare.

I think your right. Why would you want to come back for your senior year just to sit out half the season? I think one of the players was a freshman or sophomore and so he’d have to come back (no sure if I’m remembering correctly?) so basically the players will all declare for the draft and there will be no punishment.

Why didn’t Ohio state know that their star QB was selling memorabilia on the side and getting tattoos for cheap? How did they that this kid from a poor family who has no money paid for a full sleeve and more? The school should have known! “lack of institutional control!” lulz. The NCAA is bullshit

I think that there will be a lot more players that get caught for this. I have a LOT of Tat’s and that shit is expensive, think about how many players in College have half or full sleeves.

^^ I know… Scholarship athletes aren’t even allowed to have jobs to make extra money so where are they getting the money for thousand+ dollars worth of tattoos? The NCAA has really screwed up this time. They’ve set a bad precedence with these last few “punishments”
