2010-2011 NBA Season 3.0

did i just hear Barea say ‘hella screens’ in a post-game interview? to a black woman? hahaha.

I hope Artest is suspended for that, what a bitch move.

and lmfao at Barrea “we got hella screens”

I think that Portland game 4 was a huge turnaround for us. Before that collapse would have shaken our confidence to the core. With Chandler we got some toughness we never had before and it rubs off on everybody. And Barrea playing scrappy running circles around Lakers D.

The Lakers are done.

Sorry Guys

Also, Laker crowd was really shitty. Booing your own team? Come on. And the courtsiders are fucking worthless, half of them are on their cell phones the entire time and the rest don’t cheer or anything. It’s like they only show up because its cool and trendy to spend 10k on Lakers courtside seats.

Dirk was incredible tonight, it seemed liked he never missed.

I lol’ed when it happened because it looked to me as though Lamar got it worse than Barea.

Barea just go a face wash, Lamar looked like he took a knee to the lower abdominals.

0-16 from 3’s? Have the lakers never defended the pick n roll before? This game is so insanely frautrating as a Lakers fan
A Laker fan friend of mine a year ago said Phil Jackson coached teams are notoriously bad at defending the pick and roll.

Be careful what you wish for. A lot of people have been sleeping on the Mavs. It’s gotten to a point in their recent history where people have kind of given up on them making any serious playoff push, no matter what their regular season record is. Maybe without all this attention Mark Cuban and the Mavs can be the ones doing the upsetting instead of being the ‘upsetees’.
Dude you and LarryDavid are the gif kings. Where do you do to find these gifs? Do you make them yourself or do you just copy and waste them from some gif site?

It was interesting hearing some comments from fans, including Laker fans, about how ‘easy’ the Laker fan base has been having it. When you think about it part of the reason people who don’t root for the lakers hate the lakers is because the Laker team and their fans are so arrogant. And up until now, they’ve had every right to be like that because they won when they needed to. They’ve kept winning over these past few years but they’ve been getting progressively worse at winning to the ultimatum of losing significant games. I emphasized this point during the regular season in one of the NBA threads during one of the many discussions about the Lakers.

EDIT: Btw, I just watched Kobe’s post game news conference. I like his calm demeanor but you have to think he’s smoking on the inside. Last year he was totally melo about playing the Cs in the Finals then after they won it he’s like “Man, of course I realized how big this series was. LA vs Boston! Man c’mon I HAVE to act like that during the series.”

Fuck yeah, go Miami. Loved that DWade drive past Garnett. Miami needs some serious shooters, though. What a physical game. Celts are some dirty motherfuckers.

GO MAVS. If Mavs win Game 3, they’ll win the series. But I think LA will win Game 3.

Love Jason Terry, Barea, and Chandler. After Dirk.

Fucking love NBA right now.

Doesn’t Pau look like an angry giraffe after having a glass of bitter beer?!

He is one stupid motherfucker, I will say. Weren’t they going to review the play and potentially suspend his dumb ass? They should and I think they will if they haven’t announced it already. That was absolutely a flagrant 2 and AFTER the goddamn whistle.

Man, I wish I could listen to Van Gundy and Mullin every game. Smart mofos always with some good input.

lol gettinitdone for what it’s worth I just get them from other sites. I’m too lazy to make my own.

And nice job on the early prediction. If the Mavs get past the Lakers I think they could get past the Thunder/Grizzlies. Those two teams aren’t as good as LA. And the Mavs were looking like serious contenders before Butler was out for the year and Dirk had that mid season injury. I haven’t seen a lot of games, so they might be playing close to as well as then.

Miami-Dallas finals would be pretty sweet, but I"m still hoping for the Bulls.

What do you guys think about Bynums comment about trust issues?

Something that shouldn’t be said outside of a locker room. Terrible choice of words said out of frustration by a young kid who hasn’t experienced losing like this in quite some time.

“The past has caught up to the Lakers, marring their present and making their future look bleaker than at any point in the past three years. It’s too much to overcome, the fatigue brought on by playing through to the last game of the season the previous three years. The weight of the championship rings on their fingers is altering their shots, their backs are strained from hoisting banners to the upper reaches of the building. Jump shots hit the front of the rim, cross-court passes bounce once before reaching their target, opponents’ shots go uncontested.”

I wonder why Mia/Bos and OKC/Mem get 3 days off from their 2 game homestand (had a Tuesday game, then play again Saturday) while Dal/LA and Chi/Atl get only 1 day off. I was hoping Miami would be playing Friday instead of Saturday cuz Boston is still injured.
Do you guys think it helps LA having only 1 day off to play Dallas? LA isn’t injured physically, so instead of stewing and pointing fingers for an extra day off, they can just get out there and play.

OK I did not stay up to watch the Lakers game in full, but will someone who did watch it tell me why Kobe isn’t shredding the Mavs? They have no one who should be able to remotely slow him down besides Marion (which would require you to put Kidd/Terry on Artest/Odom) and Brewer (which would require you to play Corey Brewr). I thought Kobe would avg 35-40 this series.

Did they zone up or do something I haven’t thought of? From the recaps I read, it sounds like he had a hard time scoring on Jason Bleeping Kidd, but recaps can be wrong.

I was wondering the same thing. Lakers down 0-2, I am one happy laker hating motherfucker haha.

So Ron is suspended for 1 game.

What a dummy

Artest is just a dumbass. It’s not IMPULSE that drives him to do that shit. He has plenty of time to think about whether or not he should do something like that, and yet he still does it.

I thought MIA was playing on Sunday? Either way, I’m also wondering why such a long rest period. That’s just odd and I don’t think I’ve seen that before.
