Memphis. Gonna hitch my wagon to them until I see evidence that Westbrook doesn’t think he is a superstar caliber player taking shots away from Durant, and foregoing easy passes to his bigs to take circus style layups.
Man I haven’t caught an OKC game in a while. Is the Westbrook thing really that bad?
Boston looks like they’re sticking to their game 1 plan and I don’t like it at all. They’re playing better and keeping it much closer(in large part because of Jeff Green’s contribution off the bench tonight) but their turnovers are crazy when they try to speed the game up against a team with Miami’s athleticism and talent.

Couldn’t of said it better myself. I hate that son of a bitch. I will acknowledge that he is a great player and is in my top 10 greatest of all time.

I’m gonna call bounceback games for OKC and CHI. Lots of times teams with too much rest are rusty in the first game back. I think OKC will realize they don’t need to guard Memphis’s guards/SFs behind the 3pt line

He’s a polarizing great player - it’s bad when he’s taking long jumpshots but it’s good when he’s driving to the rim
Lebron took this game over in the 2nd half, Boston in serious trouble in this series, whatever answer they had for the dynamic duo in the regular season appears to be gone. They’re getting balanced scoring and shooting decent and still the Heat are pulling away in this 4th quarter.
Joel Anthony is playing fantastic minutes in the playoffs too, something I don’t think anyone expected. Reports are that Haslem has been practicing with the team daily for about a week now, if they get him back(obviously not gonna start and be what they expected after 6 months of not playing) and giving any decent contribution I think they could be turning into title favorites looking at how ever other team is performing(opinion subject to change).
CP3 chillin front row with his NYY hat on…I’m not sayin, but I’m just sayin =p
^^^ LBJ wore a Yankee cap but didn’t join the Knicks
Miami is definitely peaking at the right time. How can you not pick this team to represent the East at this point?

This is why randman’s gone silent.
In all seriousness, they have to be the favorite now but they do have a weird tendency to disappear for stretches and that won’t necessarily just disappear because it’s the playoffs (as we saw a little vs. Philly)
^^Everyone has their weaknesses.
randman disappeared before the playoffs started, but I doubt he’ll show his face if Miami beats Boston.
It must feel like Memphis is a bunch of octopi… they just have so many long arms flashing everywhere on D - through passing lanes, swiping at ball, just constant limbs in motion. 11 turnovers for OKC and it’s only 5min into 2nd quarter.

Cashed in again nicely today. 2x $10 bets turned into $18.70 (ATL v CHI over 178.5 pts) and $32.50 (Mavs to beat Lakers G1).
Mavs moneyline was a ballsy bet… I took them against the spread (+6 was way too high) and I took them to win in 6 (at 8-1 odds, all I needed was one road win to be able to win money hedging)
I wouldn’t have placed the bet if I couldn’t of tripled my money. I’m comfortable risking $10 for a chance at $32.50 when Mavs are quality enough to beat the Lakers, even at home. I was considering a spread bet but a +5.5 bet on Mavs to win was $3.50. So I just went with the safer option, and the other odds on the spread purely sucked. Any other team, I probably wouldn’t have put the bet on.
Also got $10 bet on Dallas to take the series paying $3.80 and $10 on Bulls to take playoffs at $4.50 lol. I just look for bets where risk is outweighed by reward. I’m probably going to lose out on those two though, but I’m already in the black off two bets so who cares. hehe
Edit: Should also point out that I usually hedge my bets too.

To be fair, Bryant has reason to complain. There’s never been a superstar who receives LESS “protection” from the refs than Bryant and I"m not even biased about that, it’s just fact. Watch enough games (both LAL and non-LAL) over these past few years and this is plainly obvious.

OK, maybe the refs do give him less protection because he has been a cry baby since day 1. Chicken and the egg. But I swear, every time I see him miss on a drive he cries to the ref. It’s never because he just missed, it had to be a foul. Lebron draws just as much contact when he takes it to the hole and yet he doesn’t whine every time he doesn’t score on drive.
I think Kobe’s the best player of the post Jordan era (we’ll have to see how Lebron pans out) but he reminds me of that annoying kid on the playground that calls FOUL! every time he misses.
