I don’t think you can use regular season MEM-OKC games to predict this series because they all happened pre-Perkins trade, and Jeff Green was guarding Zach Randolph. That being said, Memphis looked awesome. I can’t figure out though why OKC isn’t putting Perk on Z-Bo and Ibaka on Gasol.
OKC was doing that, but it didn’t matter. Z-Bo was hitting outside shots and getting rebounds at will.
OK, most of the parts I watched had Ibaka on Z-Bo. Well I guess OKC is in for a series now.
Anyone else hate Michael Wilbon? Motherfucker is the type to say one thing, be COMPLETELY wrong, and then shortly afterward try to assert that what really happened was what he just said. The guy could never own up to a mistake, even though I agree with him sometimes.
Randman has been missing from the forums lately… and I’ve never seen them in the same place…

I was 100% expecting rand to come back after the Lakers won that game 6 with some ‘I was never worried, LA had this the whole time easy, NO was never in this series at all, LA still favorites’ spiel.
Only caught midway through 3rd and on, but Atlanta looked like they were playing legitimate team basketball. That was really surprising. So far, Chicago does not look like the same team in the playoffs that was steamrolling through the regular season.
Also, did any of y’all catch what Barkley said? He said that he considers Nowitzki a better player than Bryant at this stage in their respective careers. I haven’t given Dirk his due, 'cause in all honesty the dude can play his ass of and is definitely a top 10 player in the league, but to say he’s better than Bryant at ANY STAGE of their careers is fucking retarded. Goes back to my whole “Bryant= NBA’s first black sheep superstar” arguement. I honestly don’t get why people hate on the guy the way they do.

It’s not that crazy. Career wise Kobe is better, yes, but they are both getting older. Difference is Dirk’s game never relied on athleticism, he’s as good now as he’s ever been. The gap between them is small to non existent. He’s by far the more efficient player. Kobe has serious chucker moments. Yes he scored 36 last night, but on 28 shots. He also had 0 assists. The Lakers are undefeated this season when he shoots less than 15 shots. He needs to go to a facilitator role instead of trying to take games over offensively. Lakers fans still think Kobe is the best player in the league when he’s not even top 5 anymore. Lebron, Wade, Howard, Durant, Rose.
Here’s some more reasons why people hate Kobe:
Arrogant
Chucker
Arrogant
Rapist
Drama with Shaq, one of NBAs most likable personalities

I’ve always hated him because he’s a crybaby on the court. I mean he’s tough when it comes to playing through injuries but he complains about every call or non-call all game long evrey game. Same goes with the facial expressions any time one of his teammates mess up.
Jordan complained a bunch in his day but Kobe is 100 times worse.
Edit: That being said, I starting watching basketball in 1989 and I think Kobe is easily one of the best players I’ve seen in my lifetime. I just dislike him as a fan.

Cashed in again nicely today. 2x $10 bets turned into $18.70 (ATL v CHI over 178.5 pts) and $32.50 (Mavs to beat Lakers G1).
Mavs moneyline was a ballsy bet… I took them against the spread (+6 was way too high) and I took them to win in 6 (at 8-1 odds, all I needed was one road win to be able to win money hedging)

To be fair, Bryant has reason to complain. There’s never been a superstar who receives LESS “protection” from the refs than Bryant and I"m not even biased about that, it’s just fact. Watch enough games (both LAL and non-LAL) over these past few years and this is plainly obvious.
