BIG win for Houston over the Spurs giving SA their 6th straight loss.

Do you guys think the Rockets would be more deserving of the #8 spot in the West as opposed to the Grizzlies or the Hornets?[/quote]

Its lookin like LAL heard about that at halftime

So that #8 spot isn’t looking nearly as attractive as it had looked just about all season long…

The Lakers are clearly playing the best ball right now. Lakers and Bulls look destined to meet in the Finals, which would be a fitting way for Jackson to end his final season… Beating his old team in the finals. Pretty cool IMO.

I really don’t think the Lakers will/want to take over the top seed in the West. I think thwy would definitely liketo avoid to possibility of playing OKC and SA in the playoffs. I could see them “resting” some of their sarters if that was a distant possibility and thwy already were up on all the East teams ya know?

Here’s the final run for HOU, NOH and MEM.

MEM (44-33) : LAC, SAC, NOH, POR, LAC
NOH (43-33) : IND, HOU, PHX, MEM, UTA, DAL
HOU (40-36) : ATL, SAC, NOH, LAC, DAL, MIN

Not sure myself if they can sneak in ahead of the Hornets. Grizzlies should be able to pull off 3 wins right there. I doubt NOH will go any less than 3-3 for their final 6 games. I really don’t think HOU will win all 6 either.

While this is true, at this moment the Bulls have a better record. So if they decided not to push 100% for the rest of the season, they would lose home court advantage to the Bulls if they met in the finals.

Even if it was a Lakers/Bulls finals with the Bulls having home court I wouldn’t be too worried. I don’t think it would matter.

Yeah I don’t think you would need to be. I honestly think the Celtics are going be the ones in the finals anyway.

I’m really hoping the standings in the East end the way they are right now. I’d love to see the Knicks play the Heat in the 1st round. For a few reasons.

Wow Andrew Bynum is a beast - 13 points and 17 boards in today’s loss to GSW.

I really like the way Denver is playing right now, they’ve become one of my favourite teams. The entire situation with Melo, the Knicks and Nuggets has really shown how some “official” analysts that write blogs for the sports websites really don’t know jack shit. The preliminary concern with Melo in NY was the defense but it wasn’t really emphasized; because its a stars league and if you have “stars” you’ll be successful (sarcasm MUCH). Just tell that to the Knicks and Nuggets.

We should also mention how LeBron will eventually surpass Kobe in every category (save maybe championship rings) by the end of his career - although I should note that because it’s LeBron James we’re talking about here so would anyone really be surprised if LeBron’s vision of seven championships in Miami actually materializes?

Im very happy for the Nuggets as well, Chandler and Gallo are very underrated players, unfortunately I dont believe Chandler and Felton will be there for the long haul. Im hoping the knicks resign Chandler somehow. Everyone in the NYC knows about defense, and how you need to play it, but this really was a deal that had to be done for the knicks, this is a deal for next year and beyond. Melo and the knicks have won 5 in a row and have overtaken the 6th spot in the east, Melo has been playing great, and has actually been playing good D, and he is a very underrated rebounder. Billups has also gotten back in stride but did get hurt again yesterday…if the knicks can find a banger to play center and another shooter they will be a top team in the east, if they had not made this trade their success would always be limitied IMO to 45 - 46 win ceiling.

What’s also great about Denver is attendance hasn’t dropped since the trade.

Lebron James’s mom has been arrested.

First she sleeps with Delonte West, now she gets arrested. Crazy bitch.

Did she really? That’s wild!!

Well it’s an unconfirmed rumour. If you google Gloria James Delonte West you’ll find plenty of articles on it.

Some people suggest it’s part of the reason he left Cleveland.

Ok so here is where the whole “Kobe played in the triangle offense his whole career” argument comes in but I won’t get into that… LeBron will never pass Kobe (or MJ) for number of Championships, which is the most important stat out there. It really is a huge knock on your career if you don’t win one (especially in the NBA)

You are on crack if you think Miami is going to go on and win 7 rings with Lebron

Also, the Lakers have been playing like absolute dog shit the past three games (everyone except Bynum… Never thought I’d hear myself say that) I think they have resigned from really pushing hard for therest of the regular season and are already looking forward to the playoffs. Seems like they have a “meeeeh, its almost playoff time and that’s what really counts” attitude cause their effort has been horrendous

O rly?

Robert Horry is a 7x champ.

It’s definitely part of the equation, but I wouldn’t say it’s the MOST important stat out there.

What does that have to do with anything? Did I say that the players with the most rings are automatically the best? (please point that out cause I don’t remember typing that)

You’re leaving out the next sentence from what I typed that puts that quote into context… Such a PWI move

Because I agree with the next sentence. But even if Lebron wins 3 and Kobe wins 6, that is not enough to say Kobe is better. Look at the whole body of work.

It’s really too early to say what will Lebron will do championship wise seeing how he is just now entering his prime.

I can’t see LeBron winning more rings than MJ.

7 Rings is a lot. The Heat won’t get 7 even if they fix their glaring weaknesses, if you ask me. Eventually the cap space of the Big 3 would catch up to them, as it probably will in 3 years or so. Not to mention right now they have no pieces to trade other than maybe Miller, so they’d have to sign new talent.

The Heat aren’t the only team that has big potential. Chicago and OKC do too, and they have a far less bleak cap scenario 3 years down the road and already have well rounded teams.

Ok

Celtics vs. Bulls but I have too much work to do :(.
