2010-2011 NBA Season 2.0

Wow…if williams was a malcontent in utah with a good team I can only imagine how he will be in jersey with a bad team. Williams lopez and not much else. I hope he gives the nets a chance espescially when they move to bklyn it wpuld be nice to have both local teams competitive at the same time

The problem is…how do the Nets improve from here? They don’t have a huge amount of cap space or any real trade chips (unless you count Lopez who I’m assuming they’ll hold onto going forward).

Their 2nd best player is a 7’ Center who averages less than 6reb/game…egad

Heard the Mavs wanted D-Harris back – o-well they still got the second best team in the West.

Nets really can’t go anywhere from here just hope they draft someone like Nolan Smith in the 2011 draft.

yeah bro, they might have arguably the worst roster in the NBA…sans lopez and Williams they have guys like Anthony Morrow, Travis Outlaw, Kris Humphries…its really bad

all in all an impressive debut for melo. Chauncey played phenomenal…the poise and presence he shows is awesome not to mention a 20 - 9 - 6 line. Here comes a captain obvious statement…rebounding will be an issue. They were smart in playing Douglas the quicker defender against Jennings and let chauncey guard the 2 at times. The Bucks are not as bad as there record indicates, injuries have robbed their season. It was a quality win.

Going forward I hope dantoni plays Balkman cuz the guy really rebound and play D.

Im excited…im going to bed with a boner

At first I hated this deal for the Jazz, but I’ve talked myself into it. Haven’t we seen that the team as currently constructed doesn’t have what it takes? If they’re sure Williams would have left them in 2 years (big disclaimer)… they got a blue chip prospect in Favors and two valuable first rounders (NJ this year, GSW next year).

Obvviously I’d rather keep Williams, but we’ve learned if your star is going to bolt, his trade value is highest when no one else knows.[/quote]

This is a fucking crazy trade. People forget that 2 years ago Harris was an All-Star putting up damn near 25 a game, and he’s one of the best in the league at getting into the lane when healthy. I’m guessing Utah’s looking to develop into a more uptempo unit, and they have a legit All-Star caliber low post threat in Jefferson. As of right now this deal is all Utah, but like y’all said there is no way Jersey is done dealing. I’m just trying to figure out what they’re trying to do out there.

Anyone who is heavily favoring Miami to beat the Celtics in the playoffs is smoking dope. Even the Heat realize their chances aren’t good with their current roster and are desperately trying to shop around Mike Miller now to get a serviceable center particularly for the defense end to clog lanes in the playoffs. Wake up. You know which of you I’m talking to.

Unless the Heat get Dwight Howard or Al Jefferson, they don’t have a shot in hell in beating Boston. As of right now in a 7 game series Boston takes it in 5.

Raptors beat the Bulls…nice.

No1 talking about the move by Hawks and Wiz?

Hinrich was traded to the Atlanta Hawks along with Hilton Armstrong in exchange for Mike Bibby, Jordan Crawford, Maurice Evans and a first-round pick in the 2011 NBA Draft

That’s a good move for the Hawks. Still don’t think they make it to [maybe past] the 2nd round, but it is an upgrade.

Harris and Avery Johnson cant stand each other, the nets have been trying to trade harris for 2 years and he didnt want anything to do NJ. Other than the Troy Murphy salary dump, the nets IMO cant do any other deals, they dont have anybody left to deal. They still have another 2 No 1 picks but right now thats their greatest asset. Also prokorov had to make this deal to save face in the NY area…he came into the league thinking he would be a big shot and scoop up every all star in the league…so far he was a total flop…so this deal took some attn away from the melo craze in NY

Baron Davis to Cleveland for Jamario Moon and Mo Williams

I don’t see the Hawks standing a chance against CHI, ORL, BOS or MIA.

It looks like most likely they’ll face ORL or CHI.

First round pick from LAC to CLE as well.

Harris has never looked the same to me since that injury.

Side note…I read that the Jazz have been slurping the Favors kool-aid since before the draft. They’ve wanted him badly.

Mike Bibby is definitely on the down side of his career.

I remember back in the day when he played for the Vancouver Grizzlies. He was probably the best player to ever play for that franchise

Tell this to Notgetnitdone who “can’t picture” Boston beating Miami in a 7 game series. Ha ha ha…

Is this celtics deal legit?

^^^ Wow, surprised Kendrick Perkins fits well with the Celts.
