2000 ml Nalgene Bottle and Mold

Hi everyone.

After a few years I finally got my 2000 ml Nalgene bottle. I wanted it since the first time I saw it and I couldn’t find it anywhere in Europe so I ordered it from the USA. The shipping cost me more than the bottle itself. :smiley:

To the topic at hand: I’ve noticed some mold inside the bottle cap. Any idea how to clean it? Don’t feel like drinking it. I’ve put the bottle in the washing machine and it didn’t help.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Mine get regular bleach over night soak and scrub. You can also get new caps.

I use strong paper towel and twist up the corners, or fold it and jam that corner or edge between the threading

I clean in between the threading with the paper towel by pressing my hand while twisting the cap in my other hand. Surprising how much I get sometimes haha
