20 Year Old Female

If you want to get into figure, let alone bb’ing, you are gonna have to put on a lot of size.

you look “good” though in the sense that you are an attractive female, so that’s a plus.

Could you post proper posing pics in bikini or figure getup? would be a better idea of where you are then a closeup of the abs.

You look great for a regular girl.

I have several friends that competed arnold bikini last year and you may be able to get there but you will need ALOT of muscle and will need to be much leaner. Its a good goal so go for it.

Everyone starts somewhere. As you make progress you will get more tuned into what you need to do. The leanness should be easy its adding the muscle that can be challenging. I know not one bikini competitor that does not have a coach i suggest you look into getting one youve got a goal and some good determination dont dick around without the right plan to get there.

And whoever told you bikini is “tiny and classy” lied to you. its lean athletic and feminine.

I assume you mean AMATEUR bikini.
For reference heres a shot of some past arnold amateur bikini competitors.

The abs pic is just one that I had on the comp for core progress… Yet again, I know I need to put on size in order to compete in figure or bb, my training and dieting for the past year hasn’t allowed me to put on any substantial size or keep any kind of glycogen in my muscle to give them a “fuller look”. Its been mainly losing body fat and toning.

I didn’t want to jump into the build mass fast phase do to the fact I didn’t know anything about what I was getting myself into. We (my personal trainer/fiance) needed to figure out what my personal carb tolerance was, what type of program worked the best for me and what type of conditioning was ideal for my body type. Now that I know what I’m essentially doing to my body, I’m ready for that phase.

With that in mind, a lot more food  Carbs. I have to keep below .75 g per lbs, protein will go up, 2 more meals will be added to my day (YES!!!) and a new program will be started. Its one that my fiance did almost 2 years ago and put on some serious size  I believe its the I Bodybuilder program (will confirm that when I start)

Deb, I know I don’t “look like I lift weights” but I do, and I can use a good amount for how little I am. Like I said earlier, my current diet won’t allow any kind of glycogen storage in my muscles so they don’t have any real size to them and I look small, real small I know lol But this diet has also helped me lose a great deal of body fat (roughly 8.5% in 9 weeks) and I have gotten substantially stronger while on it (thanks to BCAA’s and Creatine)

I will try and get some pictures up tomorrow of “proper posing” for a bikini athlete in my new suit and if I get the chance, some real progress pics

Thanks everyone for you input

And yes Hallowed, I mean Amateur Bikini. I haven’t been competing long enough or done enough shows to be/go/want to be pro. And trust me, I know how lean they have to be/are. That being one of the main reasons I went on this diet and training program.

For what it’s worth, I was comparing you to the bikini athlete standards outlined in that article. So I was rating you to those standards.

I would love to see videos of your lifts. [/quote]

I’ll see what I can do

Nice abz. But srsly, I think your ‘trainer’ is focusing a bit too much on carbohydrates, and not enough on weightlifting.

Focus on your shoulders glutes and hamstrings when you start to gain.

I would say you need a little more work in the box, I’d be happy to sort that out.

knee high stilettos ftw!

If we don’t worry about carbs and I eat a ton of them, i start storing them and it’s not a pretty sight lol if he wasn’t concerned enough about weight training then my lifts wouldn’t be as strong as they are for someones who’s 5’5 111 lbs.

I weight train at lease 4 times a week and my gains (weight wise) grow every week. When my diet and program changes everything will start growing, there will be tons of drop sets, high intensity reps and tons of hypertrophy stuff. I’m actually looking forward to it all

Dude, not sama so get past the boots and don’t be a douche.

I think the main problem here is the pics you posted. We need to see the poses outlined in the sticky at the top of the RMP forum. Please post those and we will be able to give you better feedback.

I’d like to hear more about your 215 squat. 215 squat from a 115 pound girl on six months of training? Are you talking smith machine? How is your depth? How many reps? Is that your 1RM?

well thats great! so in 6 months, take some more photos (in a bikini not knee high sexy boots so we can see your legs) and then re-post in here and people will give you CONSTRUCTIVE comments. But I would save your boot pics for your training log or, better yet, for SAMA.

Yea, 215 is my one rep max atm and I go all the way to the ground. Can’t get away with anything other than that, my trainer won’t allow it lol the boot pic I shoulda put on sama, my bad. Wasn’t really thinking on that one but still. Lol I have pics in my bikini (took them today) but my Internet is down atm and I’m not sure why. I’ll post them as soon as it’s up and running but for now, I’m using my phone.

And no, it’s not on a smith machine. It’s free weight on a squat rack. I refuse to use one of those, it’s balls to the wall or nothing at all. David an I constantly challenge me every time im in the gym, that’s a huge part to why my lifts are as heavy as they are and I’m taking about 5 g of creatine 4 times a day on this diet so that has a little help in it’s self lol

I always read this as “ass to mouth,” not “at the moment.”

I now know where your mind stays lol
