20 Rep Squats

Has anybody had any success doing the breathing squat routine. I know Stuart McRobert, Randall Strossen, and Perry Rader were big fans of this routine. I thought it was a myth but the other day I read an article by Jeff Stout reporting that 25 rep squats increase growth hormone. Today I was looking through the archives and Charles Poliquin also writes about their effectiveness. So I was thinking their might be something to this routine.

Ian King uses breathing squats in weeks 4-6 of his “limping” leg series… they are brutal!!

They are more like doing 20 sets of 1 rep due to the pause taken at the top.
