All the big weight lifter types need to understand that not everyone shares their desire to turn into a 300lb walking heart attack. And if they want to look like hulking bodybuilders then then that’s there business too - that’s a matter for them to discuss with their psychologists, but they shouldn’t expect everyone to share these aspirations.
This is a body building sight. Why do something half ass?
Look at Biotest’s product range. They target a variety of athletes. And this site has a combat section too, so it isn’t just for bodybuilders actually.

Nothing wrong with that. But the RMP forum specifically rates you from a bodybuilding perspective: mass, proportion and conditioning. And while the posters/raters are somewhat forgiving conditioning - they do expect to see significant size and development on your frame at the very least.
I remind you that there is a combat sports forum where you can discuss “being light on your feet” and delivering kicks and no one cares about how much mass you’ve built up or symmetry.
There’s also a strength forum where they only care about how much you can move in specific movements or performance in various events and I daresay none of the bbers go on to those forums to ask anyone to change up their training, although many DO read the strength forums - quietly - to learn/take away what they can regarding getting stronger.
if there was a “rate my lifts” forum (clearly a strength focus), I;m sure there would be little to no physique discussion on that, and there wouldn’t be anyone saying “I don;t want to get too strong because I need my flexibility/endurance for soccer - but rate my lifts anyway”. Also if there was a “rate my vertical jump” forum, you won;t find some 300 pound behemoth putting up videos of his jump there, asking people to be forgiving taking his weight and athletic endeavours into account.

i dont try to get big cause of basketball but my mate who quit ball lifts real heavy now and got real big in last 3 years cause hes not concerned with limiting his size anymore.

I don’t think that getting “big and bulky” is what makes you slow. I think that neglecting footwork, agility drills, and sprints is what makes a lot of “big and bulky” guys slow. There are a ton of athletes (ALL of the NFL) who achieve the “big and bulky” size yet are as quick on their feet as anybody in the world and can deliver a hell of a hit. Yes, even 360 lb behemoth linemen have quicker feet than you or I.
It is an unfair stereotype to say that “big and bulky” guys are slow. If you want to be both big and fast, it is absolutely achievable, you just have to put in the time. Again, “big and bulky” and “fast feet” are not mutually exclusive.
Before you use the NBA as an example of skinny fast basketball players, keep in mind that the reason they are so skinny is because they are in 4-5 hours worth of practice (read: cardio) daily, which cuts into their muscle production.
They dont practice at full pace as much as you think. If they did they would break down more frequently.
They run through stuff and have a small scrimage but it is rarely 4-5 cardio.
I play at state level in Aus about 2 below pro and have played with and against pro aus players.
Generally with a full time job, 3 games a week and 2 training sessions, I rarely have time for regular weights in season and I drop weight, then put it back on in off season. BUT I am quicker, lighter and jump higher mid season after loosing a few kilos than at the start. Just my experience tells me bulkier is not better in ball, unless your a big guy anyway.
