2 Years and Still Trying To Recover, Where To Go From Here?

Keto will increase this.

I’ve read a lot about Keto so far, from articles and forums alike and I haven’t seen anything about high SHBG. Is that definitive and if so could you site a source please?

Just type in Keto and SHBG on your search and have at it.

IF does it also.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that insulin decreases SHBG.

Overweight women end up with lower SHBG (men too) and end up getting PCOS from all the free androgens. They are advised to go on a keto diet, to increase their SHBG.

Intermittent fasting raises it too.

Still didn’t find much in relation but regardless, I think I’m willing to try it.

The worse that happens is it doesn’t work.

I think I’ll finally relent and try thyroid hormones, hopefully for a short duration.

If this diet is effective, or if I ever find my true underlying cause for these imbalances, I’ll wane off my dosages then.

I am no doctor, but from looking at those latest bloods it looks like your pituitary is shut down. Have you done any research into HGH?

You may benefit from checking out a product from New U Life called Somaderm. It’s a transdermal HGH. I say this because you don’t need a prescription (perfectly legal) to try it so it may be something worth trying without having to waste MORE money on Doctor visits.

Hmmm I’ve never considered that.

I see my endo again tomorrow and I was going to bring up the use of thyroid hormone.

I’ll bring up the use of growth hormone and see if that’s something she’ll consider prescribing.

What is it about these blood work results that has you thinking it’s GHD?

I’ve been going to doctors for over a year, however no one has ever brought up that possibility.

Some perspective would be much appreciated, thanks!

Well again, I’m no doctor, but I’m going on both the LH and FSH levels. These are both produced by the pituitary. Also the fact the pituitary is responsible for stimulating the thyroid (among other things) to do their job, and that you show symptoms of thyroid issues having low T3, but your T4 level is not completely out of range (which is also produced by the thyroid), makes me think that maybe your pituitary is not doing it’s job. The low LH and FSH (going by the range that you posted) could be an indication that your PG is not telling your thyroid to produce sufficient levels of T3.

It’s just a theory but one worth proving imo.

Also, it’s something that can be stimulated with HGH and the product I recommended is something that you can try to prove/disprove this theory without having to get a doctor to prescribe it.

I have read this whole thread and I feel like I’m in the same exact boat with the numbness and the way it is down there flaccid as @darkdescartes. I can not express enough how much my story relates to his with the symptoms.

So @darkdescartes what do you plan on doing now. After reading all of this I think I mite have to revisit my Endo or get a new one now.

@bmbrady77 can you explain to me what HGH is ???

HGH = Human growth hormone

My next move is to give keto a shot. i dont know if itll be beneficial or not, but i guess that remains to be seen.

I also just got prescribed armour thyroid replacement today. If that actually helps and gets my thyroid back up and running, hopefully the rest of my body gets back into balance. After that i can try and holistically ween myself off the medication through diets and other means.

Praying the universe is on my side and that I’m closer to a solution rather than farther away.

Is that the same thing As TRT or HCG???

@darkdescartes what is the Armour thyroid replacement suppose to do for you???

Here…you should do some reading. Click the link below.

Need Some Help With AAS Terms - #16 by unreal24278

woah, I didn’t know one could link posts, mind = blown right now. It took me like a year on here before I figured out one could quote another person’s comment tho…

Lmao! It’s just magic!!

Firstly I actually could get pharma grade hgh from a trusted source and it has been something I’ve been interested in taking.

However I’ve noticed my IGF-1 is high out of range as well as DHEA.

Could I still have a GH problems with these being high already?

@KSman if you could please take a bit of time to offer some insight, I’d very much appreciate it. I need all the help I can get!

From what I can tell by what little reading I have done, this is how I understand it, so take this with a grain of salt…

IGF-1 is produced by the liver in response to GH being released by the pituitary. Without knowing what your blood GH levels are (you would have to get screening for that, not just a simple blood test) it would be hard to say if your high IGF-1 is due to the pituitary over excreting GH, or if you have some issues going on with the liver itself. If it is high GH, that could signify a pituitary tumor.

As far as DHEA, that is produced by the adrenal glands and is a precursor to hormone production. It is produced in response to the pituitary secreting ACTH. While your ACTH levels aren’t off the charts, they are a little on the high side as well.

I’m not trying to scare you, and by no means am I qualified to make any kind of diagnosis. I’m just trying to say that with all of these different things being off that are directly or indirectly related to pituitary, it seems like it’s worthwhile to have a screening (or maybe an mri?) to make sure that you don’t have something going on there.

if only i could go back in time a smack my 19 year old self upside the head for letting myself get into the AAS.

a couple of superdrol and test e cycles and now im staring down the possibility of having a tumor in my brain. Damn.

I just scheduled an MRI for this wednesday, hoping everything comes back negative.

I’ll you guys updated.

I wouldn’t let myself jump too far to that side just yet brother. Don’t cross bridges that you aren’t even sure are on your path yet, and certainly not before you get to them. One step at a time.

The possibilities can seem pretty scary when we are talking about hormone imbalances, but remember that a blood test is just a snapshot in time of a system of processes that are very dynamic and constantly changing. They give us an indication of possibilities of what is going on, but they are in no way absolute in determining the root cause. Think of it like this, now that you know what hormones are out of whack, you have a few ideas of thing to LOOK for as to why.

Also, don’t beat yourself up about things you did in the past. They may or may not have anything to do with what you’re trying to nail down now. I have known people (family member) that have abused drugs and alcohol every waking moment of their lives for years (all of my natural life anyway) and are perfectly healthy right now (well, at least they feel fine and appear healthy lol). I also have known people to smoke cigarettes like a freight train and never even developed asthma or emphysema, much less cancer. On the other hand, I’ve known people that have never touched cigarettes in their life that have died from lung cancer. I also knew people that lived the cleanest life possible that died very young from various diseases.

We are flooded nowadays with “this causes that” and “that causes this” bullshit, but from what I have seen…in all reality, I believe that people put too much emphasis on studies, more often than not drawing conclusions to the whole when they really only studied one tiny piece of the puzzle. If they would look up from their little papers every now and then and see what’s really going on around them, they would find that the truth is that a lot of times they don’t have a clue. Life just happens sometimes for no damn reason whatsoever except that you drew the short straw.

Good luck with the test brother. Keep us updated. I am hoping for the best news for you!
