did some deadlifting last week, didn’t feel good so didn’t do much and just got out of there. hopefully tonight will be different.

just found out i have the 4th highest 198 raw squat of all time, even though it shouda been higher i think that’s pretty sweet. makes me miss lifting since apparently i was decent at it.

Oh yeah… “Apparently” you were decent at it… It is pretty cool to have the 4th highest 198 squat of all time.

Only do it if you love it…

I’ve got a meet coming in late April. Hopefully I’ll total mid 1400s to 1500.

It will be a good PR for sure. The gym probably isn’t going to happen, but I am setting up in my basement. I’ve got over 800 lbs in plates and I built a sweet deadlift platform with band attachments. Just waiting to find a rack and a couple bars and a bench and I’ll be training at home.

That’s what I am thinking. I can train more times per week and get more quality work in than I could in the short 4.5 hours per week I have to train currently. No more driving time (about 3 hours a week) and no more people getting in the way. This will essentially leave me with about twice as much time under the bar without having any impact on the rest of my time. And it ought to pay back in 5 years or less (gas, membership, and bullshit).

yea that would be nice. sounds like you are well on your way to owning a gym haha.

55-56 inch “box jump” at work lol

height comparison and rough measurement

that’s fucking sick dude

bump

Alright, I’m in. Where the hell have you been? Still training?

stopped lifting for a while. moved. started just buying my own equipment and lifting in my basement for few years and now just moved so lifting in the garage. mostly by myself. i’ve had to stop and start back up several times because of work and life. i travel a lot for my job now so any real lifting i get to do only happens when i’m back home. in a way it works out well though because my travel weeks force me to take it easy.

hard to stay motivated when it’s just myself. it wasn’t bad, i occasionally lift with someone but thought this might start to get me more motivated.

Welcome back!!

Thanks! Good to see there are still some familiar faces around.

Anything to catch up on from the past…7 years? lol

I guess I’ll make a little list of some things:

  1. for people familiar with me and my log, if you want, let me know what gym you lift at. I travel all over now and might be able to stop in and buy a shirt or something. I recently got to stop by the current location for the Super Training gym. I didn’t get to lift but was able to stop by so that was cool.
  2. assuming i get to keep up on my lifting i’ll probably end up starting a new log. I have recently looked back through some of my posts and man, I think i’ve calmed down quite a bit. probably won’t be doing many rants like the good ol days ha.
  3. If anyone wants to talk lifting equipment i’m always game. Since I just buy my own equipment now I’ve looked at a lot of stuff and have been able to stop by Rogue several times now and mess with their bars and the guy i sometimes work out with buys and sells a lot of stuff so i’ve been able to use quite a few different SSB bars now, among some other things. I primarily use a spider bar now with monohooks on my rack, for bench type stuff i have a Rogue ohio power bar, have a texas deadlift bar, shitty buffalo bar, new Rogue squat bar and i gots the Thompson fat pad for my bench. I gots some other shennigans too but nothing to fun, that’s all the major fun stuff.
  4. any new people going through my log, welcome. i have a much calmer attitude now so hopefully won’t come of as a dick like some of my old posts.
  5. ?

couldn’t recover my account so started a new log under 2-scoops
