Could your 2-Exercise Workout Plan For Size be run on a 2-day per week schedule? This would mean bump days 3 and 4 to their own week, this extending the program to 8 weeks instead of 4.

I would say no, and that you should pick a program that is meant for less frequency if you can only train 2X per week. I have run that program, so I am familiar with it. Directly from the article:
“Frequency is king. Hitting either a muscle or lift frequently, while still being able to recover, is one of the best tools for rapid progression.”
Now, that doesn’t mean doing it only 2X a week would show no results, just that it would not fit into the design or philosophy of that particular program.
