It’s not if any black person speaks up, it’s that you speak up every time. I can only assume that the majority of these threads are made to get you riled up or to reinforce some messed up opinion some may hold. Have you ever tried staying out, just to see what would happen? I bet the thing would be buried in 2 or 3 days.

Great post. I have said something similar to him in the past, only to have him respond to me in some ignorant fashion. I pointed out his need to defend any and all black individuals no matter what the situation. Maybe if he was so eager to remove the veil of black stereotypes he would stop being one himself.

First, this isn’t even true…but I am sure every other person here can see how posters get treated when they do speak up which I am sure limits those would want to get rapped up in this.
In short, the response given every time this topic comes up is likely why more blacks here avoid the topic.
I personally just keep laughing…because nothing written in this thread topples what I wrote…and the actions here prove the point.
Funny how it is “only me” and every other poster here must be white.

The issue here is why someone would post what the OP did with so much conviction.
I want to discuss that. If you don’t, please leave the thread.
I made my points clear already. What could you possibly still not understand?

He stayed completely out of the biggest race bait fest of all, the original Trayvon Martin thread.

So… Not 100% accurate what you two are saying.
Exactly…but you are dealing with people who apparently “only see me responding”…as if Dark Ninja and every other black person here is invisible.

He is also one of the few black posters here. I for one like to hear his (or other black posters) perspective on these issues because it’s different than my own and it helps me to try and understand a perspective I can’t ever really experience.
This thread blows, by the way. 100% race baiting from the start.

they were forced to take those pictures by a white (republican) person to perpetuate the stereotype that black kids want to be “thugs”, obviously something similar to that happen, it HAS to be the case
Back to issues like this…I see white kids in previously known to be “mostly black” neighborhoods more tatted up than anyone else…and they are accepted.
Why is it a stereotype to you that only black kids want to emulate this?

Eh, if it means anything, I like having this conversation with you. You don’t fly off the handle, and I don’t feel like you judge me as an individual if I present an uncomfortable position/question.
I’ll respond to your last post to me after I think about it more.

Well, you never explained why you brought up that most of the wealthiest of the wealthy don’t work for their money. I don’t see what that has to do with anything. It especially has nothing to do with dental school, murder rates, affirmative action, or any other topics presented in this thread so far.
You’re lumping me in with other posters just as much as you think I’m ganging up on you. None of what I said was offensive or aggressive until you became short with me.
The reason I joined this site is because there was a thread about chiropractic. Some people were legitimately curious and I responded to them. Others were ridiculous so I didn’t. People like the OP are ridiculous, so I don’t know why someone of your stature would sink to their level. He posted it because he’s young, anonymous, and loves getting people upset. I even asked you what you think his motivations were when he created this thing. I bet if you looked he called you fat or not a doctor in some other thread. What’s the point of arguing with that kind of person?

I responded because the original thread title was flat out a racist attempt. I have that right on a forum like this…and if you hadn’t noticed, there are literally guys like Prufrock who must have 2-5 posts a day focused only on me…so avoiding these kinds of people can be a hassle if the goal is to engage in a topic at all.
I am more interested in why you seemed to think I am the only one responding or that I respond all of the time to these types of threads when others told you that is not the case.
PERCEPTION is the issue…and what I have been discussing.
Let’s face it, if I wasn’t dead right here, this thread would be on page 20 by now of posts from guys like the one you mentioned.
So, yeah, in effect, while the OP started the thread, the RESPONSES he got warrant further discussion…including your own that claim I am doing things others just told you I am not.
It’s not if any black person speaks up, it’s that you speak up every time.
you see what you want.
You just proved that.

…and Paris Hilton fits in where, exactly?
I also just went back and checked and found that you were a dick to me immediately. Reply number one. So you can go ahead and make accusations about me all you want, because you’re kind of a huge asshole. I PERCEIVE that because you ACT like that.
Nice dagger at the end of your response. Real sassy.
Maybe go back and read that post again and try to understand it?

Like I said…personal attacks when they have no real stance.
This was my first response to you:
It is interesting someone would ask what bias…in a thread started for no other reason than to shine the light on BLACK TEENS who committed a crime… in a crime where not all suspects were black.
The bias is staring you in the face.
If that is “being a dick” to you, then your skin is way too soft to post here…or possibly anywhere.
You seem to think direct responses are “acting like a dick”.
I think you have derailed this thread enough. You were not insulted in that post and were answered directly.
If you can’t understand the outrage towards this, after the Zimmerman trial and the blame whitey game that ensued even though Zimmerman wasn’t white and by all accounts acted in self defense, then I’m sorry to say that you’re to stupid to live.
It sucks to hear my President say shit like “If I had a son, it would look like Trayvon” and not a fucking peep any other time, regardless of race. He sure as fuck doesn’t think that a poor kid from Afghanistan who just got pulverized by one of his drones looks like his son. Such bullshit in our government and media that it isn’t even funny.

People are too stupid to live regarding a case where not all the suspects are black?
Why would there be “outrage” for anything else other than someone died?

Agree the President should keep quite on individual incidents like this.
Disagree about the media. It is their job to getting rating in today’s world not report the news. Of course they sensationalize what they feel will get them the ratings they want. It’s our fault that this is the case since we are the ones that drive ratings.

…and the other half of the country would have been insulted had he not…so what makes your perspective the correct one?
The FIRST black president in the history of the country likely had much weighing on him to make that statement…issues we are discussing right now.
