1st Dabble Into Prohormones

Hey guys…just wanted some advice. January of this year I just started working out after about 5 years of taking off for various reasons, but have found that my muscle memory is surprisingly incredible. I have never taken any type of Gear or Prohormones yet or in the past. I used to work out religiously and was down to 8% BF. I’m now about 20%BF and weigh about 165lbs - 5’7". Not a fat bastard by anymeans, but ofcourse not as physically fit as before. Anyway, I’m new to T-Nation and have become an avid enthusiast of this site and their company. Though I missed out on being able to get my hands on any MAG-10 or 4-AD-EC prior to the ban, I’m seriously considering Prohormones now. The only thing that is within my reach currently is Ergopharm’s 1-AD. Now here’s my situation, I am now at a point again where my work outs have begun to become pretty hard-core now(at least for me/my standards) meaning I’m pushing myself to the point of wanting to hurl…you know what I mean. I really would like to incorporate a cycle of 1-AD this month. I have purchased Surge/Low-Carb Grow!, M and need to still get Alpha Male.

Here’s my question: Dosage indicates to take 3 caps per day in cycles of 3-6 weeks and to not exceed 3 in 1 day. There are 60 caps.

I’ve read the MAG-10 plan for success suggesting 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, but these of corse are two completely different products (believe me I would much rather get my hands on MAG-10).

Should I use their suggested value, or should I frontload for the 1st week and then decrease my dosage to reccomended daily. 1 cap is only equivalent to 100mg. Or is this even necessary???

I apologize in advance if this post comes accross too “newbie”-ish. But I ultimately want to gain like a fucking mad man and look just plain jacked. My caloric/protein intake have been taken into consideration as well.

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, at your BF and your height/mass ratio, I wouldn’t go prohormones yet. If your workouts make you hurl and you’re not getting any gains, you MUST be doing something wrong.

Look at your food intake and your workouts. Leave the Pro-hormones for after you reach (considering your height) at least 180 lbs @ 10% BF, which is about 30 lbs of LBM away for you.

Sorry for the confusion…I meant that I work out so hard/push myself to the point to where I feel like hurling sometimes. I definitely have gains, which I’m sure are possibly above average for the period that I’ve been back…I feel that this is due to my muscle memory. You will surprise yourself believe me. My body seems to just want more and more exercise. I’m now dieting right as well. But at the same time, 10% BF is a long ways away. If I dieted to the point of the “Velocity Diet” there would seriously be nothing of me left. I may be possibly be leaner than 20%, but at my height losing weight will really make me skinny. I’m actually at the weight I’m supposed to be for my height, just want some additional push…

I do appreciate your insight

Do you say this because you have not had any good success with them by chance? Could you elaborate why? It seems that there are a number of people in this forum who would disagree, well…I’m sure there would be some that would agree as well though.

I’m not trying to start a debate, but usually people have a reason for feeling a certain way.

Right…My mind says/agrees with you, but muscles growing at a snails pace sometimes can get frustrating. I’m intelligent enough to know that realistically that is probably what I should and need to do. It’s hard when I was in peak condition naturally, now trying to go back to what I was. It’s harder than I could ever have known back then when I quit working out. I wish I didn’t stop…

You would have better luck eating right and working hard in the gym. Your body is still getting use to getting back to working out, so let it adjust before looking for the ‘edge’.

Loosing 15lbs of fat is actually what you can do the fastest with the least amount of effort. The Velocity Diet would be a bit violent (it’s more for the FFBs among us) but if you manipulate your diet a bit, do some low-intensity cardio 3 times a week, use Chad’s TBT and maybe add a bit of HOT-ROX in case you want to kick your metabolism up a notch, you’ll easily loose it in 3 months. Or less.

If you’re afraid of looking tiny, do it a month at a time; maybe 1 month of cutting, followed by 2 months of (natural) muscle-building.

Don’t give those tables any credibility; they were designed for people that never lifted a weight in their whole lives.

At the stage you are, that push has to come from patience, motivation and hard work. Not pro-hormones.

I know it’s frustrating, but in three years you’ll be able to look yourself in the mirror, see what you achieved naturally and pat yourself on the back… You’ll be stronger, leaner – all thanks to YOU, with no side effects.

It’s worth every minute, trust me.

Damn! Kawika, you just got some really good advice, from these guys!Good luck Kawika you’ll get there!
