PG- You da man !

Hide the Silverware…I saw the surgeon this AM… I can go back to the gym starting this weekend and do light cardio and BW exercises for 2 weeks and then start the climb back with weights…

Had another awesome fitness level vs recovery discussion…just cool to talk with a doc who understands it and appreciates it… when I told him I didn’t take any post op drugs he was like right on.

He told me judge how I am feeling but target 6 weeks out to be back in the pre-op range weights/intensity wise…so I will work backwards From there and start the climb! F’in psyched…

I’ve known guys in other years who had that surgery where the surgeon installed a mesh hammock to hold stuff in place. I suppose things have progressed?

Biker- Nope, if they repair they use screen The material for the screen has changed…the difference is nowadays they go in laparoscopically most of the time. Except for someone like me, since I have had surgery in that area for my prostate issues they had to do me traditionally to avoid that entry point which meant slice me so a bit more invasive…

I think the biggest difference is nowadays they don’t use staples or stitches you get glued back together.

Wow. Hernia issue and prostate trouble. You must be exceptionally tough.

Nah, just lucky… I got filleted to remove my prostate 8 years ago for cancer and this little speed bump … like Ive said just thankful I get to do this

Ugh, doc wanted to chop me up when I had prostate cancer. Went for the radiation instead. Took a month of zapping, but all gone now. And they never cut me up.
