19 Year Old Australia, Symptoms of Low T

Yes I do not know where I am going there.

I believe you are making mistakes… I know I can’t convince you of this but there are other safer ways.

Why can’t you do an hcg challenge??

I have red that people who get their level up with hCG don’t feel as good as they should when you observe there testosterone levels. This probably predominantly due to the inability to control E2 conversion in the testes.

I understand what you are saying. I know that there are many alternatives like serm restarts and the use of hCG and an AI. It’s naive of me to think that TRT is the only main option for me.

The main protocol on this forum is T+AI+hCG because hCG+AI alone does not seem to work as well anecdotally as the T+AI+hCG program. Also, getting hCG prescribed does not seem likely in Adelaide or even in Australia.

My situation is hard, but it seems that many people who do SERM restarts and hcg + ai also run into problems or do not always receive the proper treatment, but end up with a pretty good resolution to there problems but not the best. It maybe dis respectful for me to get the best treatment for myself, but I am doing this for myself only. If T+hCG+AI is the best solution, and is better then SERM restart or hCG then I’ll probably take that. If I consider cost and long term implications my opinion will change. I am not set on just the generic protocol, I am just more inclined to implement the T+AI+hCG protocol because it’s almost always more superior in regards to stability and consistency short and long term.

I’ll defiantly look into hCG monotherapy, as well as hCG+AI and SERMS as options, it’s just the ability of access of these compounds and blood works from doctor’s that limiting me.

Here have been my recent temperatures.

Saturday
98.1 F — 7:00 AM

Sunday
97.5 F — 8:30 AM
98.2 F — 2:00 PM

Monday (Today)
97.3 F — 8:30 AM
97.9 F — 4:00 PM
98.1 F — 5:00 PM
97.3 F — 9:00 PM

It has seemed that my temperatures have drastically improved. I have stopped drinking coffee (approximately 150 - 200mg consumed daily for a year and a half) and I wish to keep it that way (not missing it). I have been taking 7-10 gm of MSM daily for the last 10 days.

In the last few days that my temperatures have improved, I also have noticed that my condition has improved. My lack of concentration that seemed to be symbolic of ADD has improved. I can know concentrate on things I like, albeit it’s still difficult. I still have pretty bad brain fog and complete lack of energy. I become pretty light headed today after my workout, and through that it was a push to finish (no interest and energy to continue the workout).

I have started Iodine today, but I did take 66mg of zinc at once 2 days ago. I have not taken any zinc since. I don’t want to raise my testosterone to subclinical with zinc. I have been eating more lately as my appetite has came back. I can defiantly feel that I am much more fuller. I have gained alot of water weight and probably also fat, although I have only increased my cals to 2500.

Today I took approx 3.5 mg of Iodine. I’ll keep at this dose for a few days and I’ll see how I’ll feel and how my temperatures change. If I am fine I’ll up the dose based on advice from you guys and temperature readings. If I can get my thyroid up to scratch now then that’s a hassle that can be cancelled out.

On a more direct question, would you guys advice to buy hCG and an AI online in time for an appointment that I am expecting soon? I am expecting that the doctor (who is young and apparently knowledgeable), will see my T deficiency and prescribe me test E, but would be hesitant to prescribe me hCG and an AI. Should I wait for the appointment, or buy it now. I am betting my chances that he will be reluctant.

The main protocol on this forum is to find out what is wrong before starting trt.

Hcg does work

Serms do work

They work for some better then other cause some people have Hpta’s that are pooched and have no choice but to start trt.

Why do you say things don’t work when u have no idea what you are talking about…??

You have T tunnel vision and at 19 years old this is dumb and I think your brain fog is causing a mental disability!!!

Get your shit together man T is not going to solve all your problems…

I am done here… Why ask for advice if you know everything

I’m considering all options. Sometimes when you are desperate you don’t say things you normally would. The indecision through this thread on my behalf is characteristic of my inability to think straight and make decisions.

Temperatures taken in the last week. Will also post Iodine supplementation. I have an appointment booked next Tuesday. Hoping to get blood panel required.

Will be testing TgAb and anti-TPO for Hashimotos.

I don’t think I have mentioned this. From age 15-17, I went through a few years of high stress. For 12 months I existed in a highly stressful and anxious state. It would make sense that during these period my adrenals would have been completely exhausted. I have been doing more research on cortisol and rT3, and the importance of rT3. I am not sure whether this stressful component of my life has created recurring ailment. I’ll strive to get it checked tomorrow in my doctors appointment. I have found a pathology lab that sends tests over the mail (only one I know of in Australia), so if all else fails I’ll get the rT3 done there. Mr morning temperatures have been getting better, but my afternoon ones have not.

So goal for tomorrow.

Test: Adrenals
FT, TT, E2, DHEA, LH, FSH, Prolactin, Cortisol (4 point saliva 24 hour test)

Thyroid
TSH, T4, T3, fT4, fT3, rT3, TgAb, anti-TPO for hashimotos

And if you want to add in TSI to the thyroid labs this would help you later to distinguish between hashimotos and graves I believe.

Adrenals) cortisol, c-peptide, ACTH , insulin, glucose (I didn’t look back to see what You’ve tested I’m at the doctors office.

Pregnonalone look it up and see if you would like to see this
Progesterone also up to you.
DheA-s <~~~ should be tested not dhea
Liver enzymes- ast,alt
A1c
CBC
Lipids

Thankyou. I am interested to see my progesterone and pregnenolone levels. If pregnenolone is low then that would have a significant inpact on adrenal function.

My morning temperature today, 96.2 F 5:30 AM. I did not have my electric blanket on this time. :stuck_out_tongue:

Looking through previous blood tests I have found liver tests AST ALT.

AST 33 U/L (< 41 U/L)
ALT 40 U/L (< 51 U/L)

Ok so I was referred to a good endocrinologist. The GP I went to was great, but he was out of his depth, so he has referred me to an endocrinolgist that he recommends . Because he is a good GP I am going to assume he is also.

Hope it goes well for you.

do you ever feel shakey?

Any joint pain?

Ringing in the ears?

Hypersensitivity to sound?

Hearing loss?

Well I fidget a lot. I am highly agitated, frustrated. I will base this more on my frustration and anger of my restraint in this condition then anything else.

I sometimes feel aches in my left knee, but this is where I had a knee reconstruction, so that might be related.

No

Yes actually, now that you mention it. Sometimes I can not stand any sound, especially if its abrupt. It sometimes makes me really mad and agitated, to the point where I can not contend myself. I think this occurs most when I really feel drugged out (though not on any drugs).

No hearing loss.

Would like to mention that I have had pretty bad acne in the past and still get pimples now. I am produce plenty of oil on the skin, never dry.

My right testicle is very small, maybe 12 cc (size of a grape)(this is my undescended testicle from a baby) and my left testicle is bigger (maybe 15-17 cc). The average size is 15-25.

Starting to get stark pains at the back and front of my head.

Went to my psychiatrist today. He is pleased with my psychological process. He believes that I think to fast and think to much, contributing to issues with my concentration and energy. Albeit he admitted that it’s made much worse due to other issues, and that depression was not the issue here (thankfuck).

iw84 I sent you a pm.

I am seeing the endocrinologist in a month. University starts next week and I need to concentrate. I have testosterone cream and I would like to take it. My logic is that if I can take it for 1.5 weeks and not take it 1.5 weeks before my endocrinologist appointment, then hopefully my labs will come back to baseline and normal before the appointment. What does everyone think?

Why would you mess with your levels before the appt? You will get shut down if you stop lh and fsh will be zero

Private messages don’t work here.

I can’t take it anymore. My work is suffering and it’s getting worse.

I start 4 courses of math, physics, computer science and electrical engineering courses in a week.

It’s like early onset dimentia with constant fatigue.

If it doesn’t help within the next 7 days I’ll stop it. I am planning on taking it until the 9th. Then I have 12 days to reboot to whatever levels I had before. I do not know if this enough time, but I do know the testosterone in Axiron is just testosterone, so it’s half life is like 100 minutes. It would take no longer then 5 days to completely dispel from my system.

Do you 12 days is enough? Probably not, and I don’t think so either. This shit is just so hard.

I am starting to think there is some other serious, serious issue going on here. I really don’t know how much my psychology is feeding this, but my symptoms don’t fit a psychological issue, albeit constant anxiety, because I am confident and happy, just frustrated.

Edit: You know what your right. I have stuck this out for the last 3 years, I can do it for another 4 weeks.

And what about Lyme or syphallis

http://www.actionlyme.org/

After reading a lot about Lyme disease today I can confirm that if I had Lyme disease it would be a milder form then what other people have. The only time I can attribute any circumstance to possible lyme would be in year 1 where I got conjunctivitis from our pet cat. I also remember on the side of my right eye a circle type ring that I thought was a worm underneath my skin.

I put a bandaid over it so no one could see it. The ridiculous brain fog, worsening of symptoms, extreme fatigue and the feeling of detachment with my environment is something I can defiantly relate to. Currently, mainstream medicine denies existence of Lyme disease in Australia. Probably untrue. I am hoping its not, but I don’t think low testosterone can cause such bad brain fog and fatigue. I know it can decrease energy, but does it eliminate it? I’m not too convinced.

When I see the endo he’ll probably get me on TRT. I get him to do a bloodiest through Igenex to see whether if I test positive. If I do I’ll probably have to see a Lyme disease expert in Sydney. If that’s the case then this is going to cost so much money.

Fingers crossed.

I don’t know if you read about my 14 year old friend. But her mother took her for treatment in another country and the doc said to the mother… " she has had this for a very long time" and looked right at the mom and said " I mean prolly since birth" mom asked “what I have it to her” ?? She wouldn’t believe the doc as she only got head aches no other symptoms… The doc actually paid for the test to prove it… She was positive for Lyme
