Man, felt like a bloated piece of shit today. Deadlifts went terrible. 674x5. Was sitting very close to my heaviest ever at 201.8. My deadlift usually goes better when I’m slightly on the lighter side of normal. Gonna slow down a tad on eating so I’m stupidly full when I’m done and let my weight coast back down to 197-198.

I bought a Texas power bar cause I figured it’d hold up really well. Did not plan to dump the weight that way. Never checked to see if they were in the way. Usually in pretty good at it. Might just snag up another.
Squat and bench went great this week. I found some things that seem to help a lot with my different pains. Calf stretch fixed sciatic nerve pain, tennis ball on my shin muscle helped the knee pain and tennis ball on my lat helped my shoulder/ pec pain. Squatted 2 triples then 7 reps with 501. Possibly could’ve grinded an 8th. And bench today hit two triples then max rep set of 8 that moved really nice. If I’m able to keep the different nagging pains away I could definitely see myself doing some damage at 198 in the coming months.
Deadlift went better today with 674x7. Did 3x8 on squats with 416, Weighted Pullups then pulled a beltless conventional 596. I was dead going into conventionals so pretty happy with that.
I dont think so. I had to dump 440 at full rack height bc i missed the j hook a few weeks back and it didnt bend my power bar.

Been a rough few days. Latest lifts were 675x6, 503x6 and 318x8. Deadlift is just my bodyweight put me between belt sizes and couldn’t get it to feel good. I ordered the pioneer pal lever to solve that. Then Christmas day till now my dog got real sick and had to spend a few days at the vet and then I took her to my house for the weekend to let her rest. Just last night she finally showed signs of getting better. We almost decided 3 times to put her down. I just wanted to give her enough time to see if she’d come around. Not out of the woods yet but when I saw her last night it looked promising.
Just thinking about that with my hounds makes me depressed. I am glad she is doing better. Give her an extra treat for me.
I will. She is kind of back and forth. Some parts of the day she seems better and other not so good. I need to get her to eat more soon otherwise I think she’s won’t be able to recover. Vet is giving her something to increase her appetite.
As far as my lifting post:
Got hung up on the rack on my last squat day doing a heavy hold with 670 and think it tweaked my back a hair. Pulled 675x6 today but the top part of the pull felt shitty cause the lower right side of my back was tight. Not sciatic nerve pain though. That is completely gone. In my opinion I should be close to 600/390/790 in April. I would say that’s if my lifting goes decent from here. Best case i think would be 620/400/820. As much as Id like to say best case id take the deadlift record, I think it’ll be just out of each. More than likely weigh in the day of as a 198er.
My dog was in prednisone, and wanted to eat so time. I don’t know if that is applicable, but it does increase appetite.
Looks like we are going to have to put her down tomorrow. It just sucks.

She did. Lifted her head a bit but went back down a second later so I think she went ok. Harder than losing a person that’s had a long life in my opinion.
