1800+ Raw Total And 800+ Deadlift Drug Free 181 Class

Managed to get my weight back into the high 190s for the most part. Dipped a little today cause I had a late lunch and didn’t want to eat too much too close to lifting. In the last week or so did 496 on squat for 2 triples then 7 reps. Bench 311 for 2 triples then 8 reps. And deadlift today pulled 664x8 sumo then did a few sets of 8 at 412 on squat, Weighted Pullups and then managed a set of 4 with 574 conventional. That’s very close to my best ever set of 4 and I was dead after the Pullups.

Post above has recent main lifts. Any guesses what kind of total id be looking at peaked with no weight cut, coming in as a full 198er.

I dunno probably too big to hit depth. Bomb out on squats

Dam. Depth has always been a challenge on squat

Looking like I settled on a meet. April 17 2021. As long as I can keep my bodyweight around 198-202 I think I should be about to hit 1800 or more in sleeves and pull 800+. Had a bad lifting week recently And forced a squat deload cause max reps weren’t happening that day. Today felt great and pulled 666x8 and missed the ninth coming forward as I got over my knees. Would’ve been a 16 lb pr for a set of 9

What is your secret to continuous gains? AMRAPs and eat everything in sight? What do you do other than the comp lifts these days?

Probably be a freak beast

Gaining weight helped. This will only be my second 198 comp. Last one I weighed in 1-2 hours before at only 188.7. This comp I plan to be a full 198 but most likely won’t cut and will weigh in day of again. Mostly small tweaks through the years to add weight to my lifts. Figuring out things that work over time. I’ve focused more on the main lifts cause the gyms have been closed and can’t really do much for accessories. My gym closed for good so I’ll be in my house until something good opens near by. But I also have been following a program for maybe the 2nd time in my life. First time I did A program for 6 months right up to the 1692 as a light 198er.

What program? It looks like 5th set with the doubles or triples and then an AMRAP, is that it?

Yeah that sucks. It’s probably going to be a while before new gyms start opening up, the economy is fucked. I’m just glad I already have my own stuff at home.

Yea pretty much. And some back accessories that I never really post.

Couple lifts recently. Not sure if I’ll post them or not some are on a video camera and having terrible getting them to my phone. But squat 500 for 2 triples then set of 6. Squat is behind a bit cause my left knee was hurting pretty bad the last two weeks and sciatic nerve pain is constant. I realized my calves are very tight and stretching them is doing some good things for my back. Bench 316 for 2 triples and a set of 8. And deadlift 672x7. Bodyweight is sitting right around 195-198 depending on the day. So still have a little weight to gain. Overall feeling the strongest I’ve ever been. Hoping for big things in April and my second ever comp at 198.

Consistently pulling a nice amount of reps with upper 600s. 673 for 7 today and think I figured out my squat while hitting it light today after deadlift. Also pulled a beltless conventional single at 574 pretty smooth at the end. Probably had 600 ish beltless if I wanted it. I’m going to continue to push these a little at a time when I feel like it.

some squats from yesterday 500x3,3,7 and here’s a crappy screen shot of me flexing a bit. I’m happy I can stay pretty lean still while gaining weight and eating take out literally every day. 198 will definitely be a better (way stronger) class

I forget if I asked but anyone know if I could’ve bend my Texas power bar back when I dumped about 490 into the safeties from about 12"? Bumped a plate in the hole and pushed the weight over my head. Bar seems slightly bent and that’s the only thing I can think of

Checked with the manufacturer for possible warranty?

I doubt there would be a warranty

Never know. I know of some non lifting companies that don’t have warranties but do offer replacement discounts when their product fails at a decent discount. Worst they can say is no
