That’s fucked up, can you lift at all right now? I guess no deadlifting for a while. I remember one time over 10 years ago I sliced off the side of my fingertip, it was sore for a while and too much pressure would make it bleed again.
Very good news. It was bleeding quite a bit when it happened so I kept it covered and it hurt like hell but when I redressed it, it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought. I kept pressure on the flap of skin that was hanging on and it looks like it might have healed over. I was able to hook grip today up to a single at 645 and pulled another life time best with 645x9. I don’t think it’ll effect my lifting other than my bench day from Saturday.

I’ve been using straps for the max rep sets only because hook gripping 9 reps would not be fun. As long as my singles are good I’ll continue to use them. Finger is starting to dry out now. It ripped a layer of skin off so the sensitive skin that was showing is now dying out. Man that thing hurt when I went to put my blinker on and the heat vent blew on it.

Gave the impression that you hook gripped it, which would be pretty crazy. I can’t handle more than about 5-6 reps with hook grip and even that is pushing it.
I think I have pulled something like 670x7 hook grip before. It’s not even the weight it’s the reps and the little slip each time the weight hits the ground.
Guess it took two years but it turns out I’m not crazy buying my own set of calibrated plates. Got the big set over 1,000lbs (smaller plates aren’t in the picture) a deadlift bar, normal bar, squat rack, Bench and dumbbells 55-125s. All gyms in my state and possibly close states are sitting down for 2+ weeks. Platform isn’t finished. I will be making it 30x8 ft but it’s good enough to pull on for now.

Squat Friday 485x8 after 2 triples with it. Sciatic nerve pain was bad that day and actually surprised it went so well. 650x8 pull today, almost went for another rep to hit an all time pr but Legs were burnt and I was afraid of losing balance at the top of the pull. Lastly bench 320x7 from Saturday. I actually have a video of that but late posting to Instagram.

I don’t know how credible Trump is, but I just saw a headline where he says this could drag on into the summer. I signed up for a meet in May, looks like that isn’t about to happen.
I’m thinking it will die out as it gets a bit warmer.

We can only hope so. The thing is that all the shutdown stuff is worse than the virus for about 97% of people, it hardly makes any sense.
It was worth it in my opinion, last forever and this is my main focus. I just want to leave a pull and hopefully a total that will still be top 5-10 all time when I die. I don’t think that’s asking too much lol
Squatted a pr 485x9 in my basement after 2 triples. I’ve never hit it for 9 fresh let alone after the triples. Bodyweight was down a hair at 196. I try to stay 199 to 202. I’m not used to a power bar and the stiffness hurts my back. This was a pretty rough set. I will post on Instagram tomorrow. Also squats have been giving me bad sciatic nerve pain lately but still moving weight. Just flares up bad right after for a day or two
Man today was a rough day. Going to the chiropractor in an hour or 2. I pulled but my lower back has had some problems. Missed the 7th rep with 655 at lockout. It was moving well though. Pulling on a platform at home and thought the weight shifted coming up on 7 when I missed it I check toe gap and went for another rep and didn’t have it. Then I screwed up my weight on squats. Accidently loaded 422 instead of 405 cause I’m using lb and kg plates. That was a very rough 3 sets of 8. Am also losing some weight. Need to eat more. Was only 193 today.
So my bench I have at home sucks. I took it from work when I first got there cause they were cleaning things out. Everything seems to be some out and no one working to make it. From what I gathered this is competition dimensions. Anyone know if it’s not. Like if they count the height minus the padding them the padding adds like 2.5" to make it too high.
