Bench is doing great, today it felt weak but strong if that makes sense. I was sore but the weights moved like I wasnt. I think I’ve neglected the top of my bench for so long even though I knew it was a problem. Close grip bench just didn’t help it. Been doing some sets with the lowest block position after my normal bench. Today I hit two paused bench prs 345x3, had 350x3 in there but video didn’t record. Then i figured I’d give 365x2 a shot. Not the longest second pause but a pr. Did get that one on video. Followed it with 325x7 and 355x4 to the 3" block setting.

Lower back was a little beat up today. Hit reverse band squat -70lbs in the hole. Worked up to a triple at 565 and a single at 600. No spotter otherwise I probably would’ve went for a double at 600. Followed it with deadlifts up at 625 for 6 singles about 30 seconds between each. Switching my second pull day back to this abs going to gradually increase the weight to around 650 as long as it moves well. Was a little slow today.
Gonna try not to get to carried away. Bench Is just moving. I barely got any sleep last night so didn’t even want to lift today. Started warming up on bench and top set of 345x3 moved easy. Followed it with 360x2, 390x2 to the 3" block. Weighted Pullups up to 9 with 80 lbs. Db press the 110s x10, 130s x10, 140s x7. I might be trying for a double at 375-380 or a triple at 365 soon.
Been a while since I hit all time bench rep prs and in the last two weeks I think I hit 3. Today I hit 350x4. Got greedy and tried 380x2 but missed it. Should have taken 375x2 cause that would have still been a pr double.
If only my squat and deadlift felt as good as my bench right now. Was a little tired today cause I’m redoing the entire upstairs of my house and the guy stayed late (10:00). I’m usually in bed by 830 ish to get up at 445. Came in and still hit 355x3 on bench with some room for weight. I probably could’ve hit 360x3 on that set which would tie my best triple. Switched to the 3" block and went 345x6 and 380x3. Wouldn’t surprise me to go for 390 on my next comp as a third at the rate its going.
I seldom ever have a training cycle where all 3 of my lifts feel great.
Yea. I never do. For once in months my squat and dead at not doing that we’ll. Squat is ok deadlift kind of tanked out of no where.
Have found something similar. Technique wise mostly and to a lesser degree performance wise there always seems to be one lift that is going less well. It’s just three fookin lifts why can’t I get gud at all three?
I always say the same thing. Only once I had them all moving and I think it was like 3 weeks about 2 years ago lol
Been posting a lot about bench the last few days. Hoping my squat and dead will come back with the warmer weather. Once again today moving weight, tied my best triple on bench and it was not too bad. I may not have had 365x3 in me but didn’t grind by any means. If it continues im thinking 405 single in April is a guarantee. Body weight has also been down. Came in at 190 tonight. I ordered more weight gainer to help keep my weight from dropping into the 180s.

Yesterday I hit the gym a bit later in the day. Joints didn’t hurt and felt pretty good with the warm weather. Squatted up to 420x12 then pulled 6 singles 30 seconds apart with 625. These moved like a joke.

Bench today and worked up so 320x6 tng then an easy 340x3 paused. 365 final set to the 3" block for a set of 4. Bodyweight is way down, 188 but I got some weight gainer so should be able to bring it back to low 190s.
Been feeling a bit sick the last few days. Mainly sore throat that won’t go away.
Deadlift felt good even though I feel like shit. Going to keep my big deadlift day to afternoons. Worked up to 725x2 and 755x1 then a back down 2x2 with 645 paused. A buddy called and needed to get pulled out of the mud so I didn’t get to squat. I’m about to go back and squat soon
Drank like three sips of an energy drink and went back to the gym. Very hard to get back into it. Worked up to 495x2, 520x1-slow then dropped to 430 for 8. Not bad considering its after pulling and getting my buddy and going back lol and being a bit sick

I’m just happy with the fact that I have felt stronger in the past and only walked away with a 765 single on calibrated plates. That was on a cold early morning. Should be good to beat that hitting it in the afternoon and warmer.

Training from the other day. Bodyweight was way down at 187. Squatted up to 440x9 them pulled 6 singles about 30 seconds apart at 640. Need to get my weight back over 190 at least to prep for a comp. Will update with vids soon.
Been busy at work lately. Deadlifted last night after work. Definitely wasn’t feeling like pulling heavy so I was surprised to work up to 715x3 and 760x1. 5 lbs off my best single with all calibrated. Followed it with squats 405x10.
