Yeah I know he’s always pulled sumo in comp. I saw some more recent footage of him pulling conventional the other day. I think he’s past his prime but still a monster even in his twilight.
Pretty beat up. Thought I’d take it easy with 3 sets of 8 at 405 on squat. Didn’t move to well but finished it. Today I benched with a bench block. Going to start hammering to top of the bench more. Worked up to 370x3 from a 2 board (3")
I Weighed myself after the gym and was only 189 lbs. Lost a good amount of weight with all the traveling and walking around three convention center. Wouldn’t be surprised if I was closer to 187 when I first got home. Need to get back up in the 193 wake up weight range.
The day after that 3x8 at 405 on squat, walking into class out of no where i had a bad pain in my back. Went to my chiropractor the next day and all seems good now. Worked up to 405x12 on squat. Followed it with 600 plus 75lbs in bands x6 on deadlift. Getting back into the swing of things. Will add the clip of the deadlift tomorrow. I was expecting 8+ but the squats probably tied me out a bit.

Felt easy. With a bit more rest time I think I could’ve hit 800 clean and took a shot at 825.

Rough day. Had late nights both days this weekend and add the time change made it worse. Alarm went off at 445 to hit the gym at 6 but couldnt bring myself to get out of bed till 630. Squatted up to 430x11. 1 rep off my best with that weight. I’ll take it for how tired and shitty I feel this morning. Will post the clip a bit later today. Also gonna be getting some pictures from the cage fairly soon so I’ll post them as well.
It’s still gains. Great stimulus for gains whether you work hard when you’re feeling good or work hard when you aren’t feeling so good.
Its just so much harder when I don’t feel good lol

Felt like pulling was going to be good today. Not as good as I’d like. Literally 1 rep is the difference between me being happy with a set or not. Hit 675x5, wanted 6. I think my deadlift is being stagnant because I’m putting more effort into my squat right now. Did a nice way set on squat after 420x6. I might change some things up soon because I’m in the gym for 2 hours and barely have time for accessory work. I may start doing bench a few more times a week now that I have my shoulder problems solved. Also may add front squats back in. Going to see how I can fit things together. Will add the deadlift clip soon
Been busy the last few days. Had some good lifts but no time to post. Did 405 to a block (3") on bench and squatted up to a double at 520.
Think this bench block I’ve been using is starting to help. When I started my set today with 315 no block, it moved great. Thought about going for 9 but stopped at 6 cause I didn’t have a spotter and didn’t want to waste the strength. Found a spotter and figured I’d try for 350x4. I ended up with 3 but they moved well. Then jumped to 375 to maybe try a double but missed the second rep. That would’ve been a pr double. Put the block on (3") and hit 315x7, 340x5, 365x2. With the slightly warmer weather coming I feel stronger. Getting up early and driving to the gym in 25*F sucks on the joints when I start lifting.
Haven’t had a deadlift day this bad in a while. I might put my heavy pull day later in the day instead of 6 am. I worked up to a terrible beltless single with 485 just felt like shit. My right glute felt tweaked warming up so I didn’t go over 485. Tossed a belt on and hit it for a set of 17. Just couldn’t get the power off the floor I normally have.
