Jumping back into it quick with some heavy block pulls, after high bar Squat, some close grip machine rows and back extensions. Normally what I pull from blocks I pull from the floor fairly soon after and I think 775 would have been there today.

Right glute and hip are a bit tender from all the heavy work. Nothing too bad. Hit some ssb, Close grip paused bench, Slingshot, light good mornings and dB press

Hit paused squats today, reverse band squat. going back and forth between heeled and flat shoes. Can’t figure out which I like best. Speed work on deadlift, light split squats, Barbell rows. Got a new belt and is taking some time to get used to fits a bit loose where I have it to squat and a bit tight where I have it for deadlift. But at least I’m using the same belt for both now (lever adjusting for the exercise)

Hey! first of all, I’ve basically read all of your legs in the best hour or three lol. First off, big fan. Second off. I would like to ask what your start maxes were? I mean in terms of like the first time you ever maxed out your lifts? A month into my first bulk at 18 years old I hit 280 for bench, 350 for squat, and 405 for deadlift. I was just wondering how far you’ve come because your lifts are my all time goals! Thank you!

Thanks. I actually started late around 19 and all of 143 lbs. I still remember failing a 185 single on bench press. But within the first two months I was able to do a single at 235. I got into deadlifting about 6 months after starting and I believe I pulled around 405 6-7 months after starting but at a body weight of closer to 165. Squat I started the latest and it was the lift that took the longest to progress. Took me about 1.5 years to hit 365. I can’t remember when but I do remember being able to only hit a single at 300 early on.

Okay, Thank you! Those are all actually really impressive for the bodyweight. I’m currently 220 lbs and 6’2 so I have a long ways to go lol. Really inspiring man! Keep it up!

Tell me about it. I mean I’m a month into a real bulk and finally hit 405. But previously I worked out for a year and a half. And I’m 220 lbs so thats awesome lol

Long day. Stuck at work so couldn’t hit the gym before I had class. Then forgot my headphones so won’t be lifting after. And feeling like I might be getting a bit sick. I’m hoping not but we’ll see.

Do you need heaphones to lift?
I can lift without them but hate it so much that I don’t. Overall it wasn’t a good day. I took some allergy medicine so if I feel good tomorrow I may be pulling heavy against bands. Possibly 675 plus 110 in bands but don’t know right now.

Couldn’t sleep so hit the gym early today. So after after warming up by taking every 45 the gym owns off the leg press and dispersing them throughout the gym in my silent war against those (words I probably can’t say on here) i ended up hitting a double ssb squat at 10lbs over my best single. Followed it up with speed work for deadlift which I may be upping from 605 to 620 ish. And some light dual cable rows. I was pretty tired this morning and called it a day.

It hurts till I get used to it than its better than straps. Don’t know if I’ve said it before but I actually hold the bar lower in my hand with hook grip compare to any other grip mixed or straps so should be in for a treat when I max again. Looking for my next max to be somewhere along the lines of 765-770 in maybe 4-6 weeks
