im 19 and a freshman in college… @ 6’3 235 my numbers are BP- 340 squat- 525…dunno what my max is on deadlift. sounds like your on the right track though…what posit. you play?
You’re right hoosier, I just reread the post i got them confused on. Sorry Mert didn’t mean to offend.
I just started weightlifting a few months ago, but my current numbers are pretty good.
Bench Press: 215
Parallel Box Squat: 395
Deadlift: 355
Clean and Jerk: 205
Snatch: 155
At 18 I weighted a whopping 5-7 140lbs. The shortest wide reciever in the conference lol. Anyway. My maxes then were 200- bench and 305 squat.
Two year’s later (now) I have been lifting on and off ( switching jobs and it through my schedule off) for about 6 months. 5-9 158lbs, 250lb bench press. I don’t squat anymore due to recurring knee problems I can attribute to horrible technique in H.S lifting.

Dude. Punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
You should be able to deadlift more than you squat. It’s physics. And it’s been discussed before.

At 18 I was 5’7" and 145.
Bench - around 135
Squat - in the 225 range
DL - actually pulled 305 once.
Waht a difference 22 years can make.[/quote]
lol. I was the same height and weight at 18. I was an endurance athlete, and our coaches had us doing circuit work on machines for our weight training except for bench.
Bench-around 150
Squat-N/A
DL-N/A
I’m 21 now.
At 18, I was about 240, mid 20’s bodyfat. Bench was 300, squat 405, power clean 240. I imagine I could have pulled mid to high 400’s, but I wasn’t training specifically for sports, though I had been recruited for football, so I didn’t deadlift until my second year of college.
When I was 17 I was weighing 280 on a 5’9" frame. I was starting on my second year in powerlifting and really getting into the powerlifting scene, my numbers are as follows:
Squat: 650 This was in 1988 and back then was a Idaho State teenage and high school state record.
Bench: 420 also a record
Deadlift: 575 which was actually done the year before when I was 16.
Total: 1620 Also a state record.
I went on to USPF High School nationals in May of that year and Bombed.
I turned 18 a few weeks ago actually. I’ve been lifting for 7 months now, wishing I started younger (who doesn’t?).
Weight:150
Bench:190
Squat:275
Deadlift:300
Hoping to bench 200 tomorrow and clean the same
axm I know no one your weight with close to your numbers with your training experience. What are you being fed over there? Double BW Dl after 7 months? FUCK WE SUCK OVER HERE.

Don’t you have any “farm boys” over there? I knew a kid who’s dad had been an NFL lineman, but died when the kid was two or three. This kid’s mom bought a small farm and he was doing all the work by age 8. Just after his 13th birthday I took him into the college weight room and he deadlifted 315 on the spot (he was 5-10, 215). Oh yea, and his hands were bigger than my feet.
Im 17 now. And just getting back to lifting from a wrist injury.
My best lifts are
Bench 245x3 close grip
Squat 400x3 I squatted double body weight at 14 or 15
Dead 405x1
I want to be a beast someday and I wont quit till i am.
All those lifts were at 195
At 18 I:
Didn’t deadlift, I don’t think I was even aware of that lift yet.
Squatted 335.
Benched 240.
Seated Military Pressed 250.
Hang Clean and Push Pressed 265.
Was 5’9.5" and 165 pounds with bf around 6%. These lifts were done throughout my 18th year, as that year I suffered a series of injuries that caused me to not work everything all the time (dislocated knee, severed nerves, broken neck, shoulder dislocations, broken collarbones, etc. - oh the joys of rugby!)
Regards,
Sensless
Are these squat numbers ass to the grass?
Also are these for max or reps?
At 18 I hadnt even started weight training. I was an aspiring fatboy.
Even now I am 22 and just started serious weight training. My numbers are beginner numbers
Bench:1853
Squat 2253(ATG)
Deadlift 225*3
The funniest thing about all this is that these are the biggest numbers put up in the ‘fitness’ centre I workout at. :-S
I just don’t see the point in putting up numbers on here. I just see way too much of bouncing the bar off ones chest during the bench, hell, I see some guys that don’t even touch their chest! I see no control on the negative on most exercises. Guys squatting high, not even close to getting low enough.
I’m sure some of you on here do the lifts in a correct manner, but not many is my guess. How about putting up some video of your best lifts instead of shooting hot air out of your asses.

When I first started reading some of these numbers I wanted to think that but I am 18 and play hockey about 7-8 months out of the year and only started powerlifting type movements in august (using WSB style program) and that some kids my age who have been lifting consistently for a few years and play football maybe where they can train out of season for 7-8 months of the year can have much better numbers. As a reference I am 6’ 190lbs bench-215, squat- 305, dead 385 and I would be happy to post a video if I knew how.
18 was a very long time ago, but if I recall correctly:
Weight: 170lbs
Bench: 325 (good form)
Squat: 430 (probably wasn’t perfect form)
Clean: 260 (good form)
My strength coach didn’t emphasize deadlifts so no one did them. Actually I just recently started doing them after reading about all the benefits here at T-Nation.
LJ
Brucelee I would totally agree with you about the technique thing on a lot of forums, but on T-Nation and others the people are mostly knowledgable so i would assume good form. I worked real hard on my form and I now have pretty good form on all my lifts despite the crappy numbers.
I do think sometimes you see numbers being talked about on a forum and ppl with under a years experience are like benching 250, squatting 300. I just don’t believe it, unless they are pretty freakish genetically I doubt they could be doing it. The net seems to add so much as to be unrealistic, or maybe everyone here is really weak including two estonians that bodybuild and moved here to work. They are like 250 pounds each of muscle and bench like 250 and squat like 350. Not very impressive for two guys as huge as these.

No, not too impressive at all. Looks like their training methods result in non-functional hypertrophy. They should look into Waterbury’s progams
