Took official measurements and weight using my unscientific method of body comp analysis. My arms are my leanest part so I measure them and if they start to lose size I assume I am losing muscle. My waist is where I carry the most fat so if I see that dropping I am happy.

Last show I averaged a 1/2 inch loss off of my waist for the 18 weeks of prep. I started at 243 and ended at 218 with my waist going from 43 to 33 and my arm going from 18 1/2 to 18. As you can see I started this time 33 pounds heavier, but with only 1/2 inch more on my waist. So I am happy so far. Slow and steady!

I am planning on doing the Heartland the following week after Des Moines. Be a good chance for some friends and family who don’t want to make the drive see what all of my weird eating and working out habits are really for. You should go for it and get on stage, it really is a blast!
