Thanks John…hovering around 218-222 varies daily lol and how my carb intake is…

Here is a good comparison…time span is 11 months and my body weight has remained the same in both pics.
You can definitely notice a big difference. I’m sure you didn’t do the same exercises or routine that whole time period but would you mind sharing your arm training for those 11 months?
Exercises vary, yesterdays arm workout looked like this…All sets ramped.

Triceps

Plate Loaded Machine Dip - 5 sets work up to heavy set of 4-6
Underhand Pushdowns - 2 sets of 8-12
Overhand Pushdowns - 2 sets od 8-12
Overhead Extensions - 2 sets of 12-15
Seated Extension - 2 sets od 10-12

Biceps

Barbell Curls - 3 sets 12 reps
Preacher Curls - 5 sets 8 reps
Spider Curls - 3 sets 6-8
Incline Hammer Curls - 3 sets 6-12

I don’t think exercises matter too too much, there are so many variations for arms. I think what is helping me grow most is picking weights that my muscles can handle. I have a friend I train with that reminds me of when I was starting and he tries to keep up with me on lifts and sometimes we use the same weight, but we absolutely are not getting the same benefit out of the weight. I feel that the more I grow the more I can concentrate on the particular muscle being trained. 30lbs may seem light but I can make 30lb db curls hurt and feel heavy and ultimately kill my biceps.

I also like to focus on TUT on some of the later exercises in the program and squeeze the shit out of reps. First exercise is always a heavy move I strive to hit PRs on.

Ridicilious bicep peak. Livin’ up to the name 2k12

Lol I dont particularly care to measure anymore…just been using the mirror and strength levels to determine muscle gains, but I they’re definitely smaller than the illusion they appear to give.

You love this thread eh Austin? Looking good though (no homo).

Lookin good Austin, the recent pics are nice. Good on ya.

Are you still going out a lot? I know you were big into it in the past but wasnt sure if you were still in the nightlife scene as much. If you are, how do you think the late nights and drinks (if you’re drinking a lot) effect your physique?

Keep it up.

Let me put it this way…I have gotten drunk twice over the past month and have made more progress this month than the past 3…I went away to college for the first time this past fall and partied very hard…I pretty much maintained what I had.

I had a few injuries…I have an ankle that had a very bad sprang and is still giving me issues 3 months later…

I also put my hand through a piece of glass and lacerated the tendon in my thumb and required a cast on my hand for several weeks and 11 stitches…Luckily it was only a partial laceration and I did not require surgery.

So with the injuries and the binge drinking, to maintain and even make a little progress I can not complain…I switched to all machines when I had the hand cast and still lifted.

So with that being said I got the partying out of my system. A few thing I will do differently. First I will only get plastered on special occasions, secondly, people will just have to deal with me being sober. I am still funny and outgoing, I am just not retarded and doing dumb shit.

This semester I have very large goals. I am going on my first planned all out muscle gaining bulk focusing on remaining lean as well. I won’t be drinking much. I have access to unlimited food at school and plan on taking advantage of eating a lot of protein and a lot of complex carbs. I plan to weigh around 250 when all is said and done. It’s going to be a semester revolving around me which means grades and lifting are top priority…getting wasted and eating junk food high is not in the game plan for something I’ll be doing on a regular basis.

That sounds like a very solid plan man. Good Luck! You will look sick at 250 lean.

lollll

Now that you’re lean these days do you still use IF or have you gone back to somewhat normal eating habits.

I am no good example of a person who eats good. After I leaned up I have been very loose with my diet…

I still stay pretty lean, but I eat like shit, high protein, high carb, just alot of food including a lot of processed junk carbs.

I am very active though with cardio and long lifting sessions which make up for it, but if I ate right I’d be pretty ripped right now. I also had a drinking problem until not too long ago which is why I think I casn loose weight eating like shit…I cut the alcohol out and I am getting into great shape with no changes in a shitty diet.

Thinking about going on a diet starting this Monday when I get back to school and focusing on lean gains for the next 8 weeks. Meat and potatoes 6 meals a day with maybe some cookies :).

Well I eat a lot of good food too so maybe my diet isnt shit, but I eat when hungry and eat a lot and sometimes feed my cravings for shitty, sweet, salty, high fat high carb foods…lol

Hey guys, just a little update because people seem to have showed some interest in my training.

I am doing a video series and keeping a long on tnation.

I am going to do a Plifting comp in several months and I am videoing a lot of my training for it and trying to be informative.

Here’s the first vid, check it out, give me a follow, and keep updated with my training log.

I’ve always wondered what kind of people make those videos about working out on youtube that nobody watches, now I know.

The bands I am using are not the proper bands…i need to get different one…

monster minis on EFS would be perfect, they are cheap as hell too.
