I used to do this a lot, lol. Then I finally decided, fuck it, I’ma try working out hungover and I remember the first time I did it, I was suprised at how strong I felt and set some ridiculous PR’s.
I knew guys who got drunk/high right before training…and they were some of the biggest in the gym at the time.
Please tell me you meant to write “night” and not “right.”
My mistake…I meant…in the parking lot before they went inside to lift.
haha Peri-workout nutrition at it’s finest

^^ lol

I’ve gone out to the parking structure at my gym quite a few times and it smelled like weed so bad… I guess if you get high before lifting you’ll dominate a PWO meal with those munchies

Amazing work.

Ever think of working with a Trainer… Like Shelby for example?

Obviously I’m not saying what you’re doing DOESN’T work for you, but a 12 week run with him might get you to the 5% area, and perhaps all the modeling contracts you want.

You for sure have the mens health body 95% of the men and 100% of the women want.

Again outstanding, an Inspiration for me.

Also, is the DAA a staple for you, do you “feel” it?

I’ve had some excellant PR setting workouts as well hungover, but I have to say I really don’t get hangovers.

Ohh and I know people that love training after smoking…They report that they can get more reps because they can’t feel the pain and they’re more focused…I don’t smoke otherwise I might consider trying that.

Thanks man.

The thought has crossed my mind, but I also feel like if I really wanted to push it, I could get to low single digits on my own, and I am penny pinching at the moment saving for my college spending money for the fall that I really can’t afford it.

I would love to possibly get involved in some fitness modeling while I have the physique for it, and also may do a NPC mens physique comp come fall…

As far as the DAA, I’ve used it for about 5 months straight no off days…Do I feel it’s working, probably a little bit, I mean I look the best, am the strongest I’ve been, the leanest and most muscular I’ve been so it might be helping a little, but I’ve also have never trained harder, ate better, and put more effort into this than I am doing now. DAA is scientifically proven though to increase natural test production so I figure that can speak for itself.

Just gotta say there is nothing like an arm workout after smoking haha. And lifting hungover isn’t too bad either. Looking pretty ripped btw Austin. Are you gonna try to get leaner or are you happy where you’re at? Keep up the good work!

I’m relaxing for a few weeks and then lean bulking keeping bodyfat very much in check and then possibly shooting for a mens physique comp in November. Or just slow bulking for awhile and then getting peeled.

Idk to be honest. We’ll just say if I go down it’s to get peeled. If I go up I’m staying lean as fuck.

getting there

That is a goddamn awesome looking arm there Austin. They should start calling you Austin Bicep.

Oh

Trying to get to 18.

Austin - your bicep peak is insane. You are a lucky f*** - great genetics, and clearly huge dedication…

I am knocking on the 18 inch door, currently 17.7 inch @ 198lbs and 5 11 height.

Do you train biceps on their own day?

I’m now grouping biceps with back, tri’s with chest (but on these days I only do compounds for arms - straight bar curls, dumbbell hammers, close grip bench press, dips, all heavy). Then on Friday I do arms again (only isolation work, focused exercises and forearms)

Anyway - great work!

Thanks bro…I was basically hitting biceps and triceps every other day for a while…Usually paird with other muscle groups…

I do such a variety of heavy and pump work but no 2 workouts are alike…Everything is pretty much instinctual training.

your diet seems bad but your lean? lol. awsome

I quite like the ‘un-planned’ approach to training arms - fitting them when you have a gap, or still feeling strong after training a bigger muscle group…

exactly

Austin- awesome work in the arms department. So is your view that to grow arms you want to be doing as many sets as possible for both bi’s and tri’s throughout the week assuming its not impacting the rest of your muscle groups? For tri’s I indirectly hit them in chest and shoulders day but also have a dedicated arm day and throw in DB extensions after chest. You reckon that’s enough volume if trying to specifically bring em up?

FML. 3 pounds more then me at 1" taller yet 2.5" on my arms… good work though! Huge for 198…

@jake_j_m - took a glance at your latest pic. Great progress, keep it rollin’!

Thanks man, I really appreciate the encouragement. 18"ers may be a way off for me, but at least my trainings heading in the right direction these days thanks largely to viewing logs and posts on here.

There really isn’t anyway to tell what works except from noticing if you are growing, doing what you are doing…

At one point I was training biceps and triceps directly every other day…

Now it’s basically an arm day and then direct work on chest day and back day.

Right, thanks. Working arms on arm day then a full bi and tri workout after chest/and bis did work for bringing them up a little. I’m thinking of hitting Bi’s fairly hard twice cos’ they can handle it and Tri’s just add in more and more extension based exercises through the week which don’t tend to take away from pressing as much. See where my volume limit is.
