18 Inch Arms

I understand. I respect that, as you’re definitely with a good plan.

DOUGBRO!

Aren’t you like over 6 feet tall Austin? Wouldn’t you look…skinny at 6’+ and 200lbs?
I think he’s 6’2, but at 200lbs, lean, he’ll still look good. I look forward to some pics AB.
6’2" @ 200lbs would probably be pretty skinny (unless that 200 was in contest shape)

Good thing Austin doesn’t care about the scale. Good luck with your recomp AB. You have a timetable you’re looking at for the weight drop or what?

With all due respect, why are you leaning out? You don’t look at all fat, and your progress thus far is really good. Why short circuit that momentum with a lean out?
Well, I was a pretty lardy 255-260ish when I started this thread. I backed down and got to a more solid 235-240 and I felt like I grew muscularly when dropping that weight. I definitely got a lot stronger when those 25 pounds were lost.

Right now, I am around 225-230 depending on what time I weigh myself. I think I’d look pretty solid around 200 pounds. I won’t be getting contest lean so my strength will probably increase and I might even add some muscle over the next 12 weeks, but I am feeling soft and feel like I know what I need to eat to grow properly, so why not get lean and then grow while I am lean. Less work for the future and I’d like to look ‘good’ 24/7.

I don’t really care abouyt filling out a XXL t-shirt if I don’t have abs to accompany my size. I will one day fill out those XXLs and XXXLs, but it’s be with ripped grainy muscle. I guess my point is, I’ve eaten like a pig almost my entire life. I have never been really lean. I workout and want the results to show at all times. I think I’ll be healthier with less bodyfat, I think once it’s off, it’ll stay off for the most part when I bulk next. I think as a natty slow and steady wins the race so I’ll be gradually getting bigger over the next many years and it’ll add up. I think bodybuilding is not just about size, you need leaness too.
Pretty much my thinking. But the real incentive was the fact that I have to pay for college myself and I can’t really afford having to buy new clothes right now

Thanks guys

Damn my arms are long, looking at the above pic, and considering my boy is of ‘average’ height.

Anyhow

I am following an intermitant fasting program. Basics are 16 hours fast, 8 hour feed window per day. Dropped calories, primarily carbs. I have 2 small(er) meals pre workout. One big ass meal post. Usually a steak and some rice or something, and whatever else really.

I am not big into setting things in stone unless I have to. But, 3 months at the most.

255-260 around there, but bro, don’t be afraid to put on some extra chunk, but if you start getting fat, back off a bit, you’ll save yourself some aggrivation in the long run.

What is the definition of fat to me? You can just tell when you shouldn’t have as much bodyfat on yourself as you do.

I agree on the natty thing. Constant gains is the most important factor for me. Obviously we have the higher goal in mind, but there are milestones to break. IMO stagnation happens to those who aren’t patient enough to break that point and fall off the wagon. I’m not saying we shouldn’t gain more than 10 pounds a year, but there are stages where 5 can be a blessing. You plan on competing austin?

Competing, yes I will at some point, but I have no plan on getting on stage this year, and really don’t have any idea when I will get on stage.

Yeah people rush things, I’d rather do it right and I’ve not been doing it right for that long. 5 years is not much in the long run and if you gain 5-10lbs LBM a year, that’s some serious size over the course of those years. To each their own though.

Well, at last - took your sweet time, man.
I thought PLs had big gunz.

@Austin
Looking solid.
You’re one tall mother, though. Just means the end result will be even more impressive.
I still remember your boasts from back before I even registered to this forums.
Your arm was so thin, almost emaciated, back then.
Good job.

This BONEZ guy is just a talker, though.
I’ll only believe it when I see it, Skeletor.

This thread has inspired me to go curl my nuts off.

Plers have triceps…with no biceps to be found anywhere

I just started curling a few months back, and I went from 17 1/4 to a full 18inches and my top weight was at 220lbs at 5’7, I’ve gone down to 210lbs as of today and still have the 18inch guns

I was wondering what your opinion(+ anyone else’s thoughts) is on bicep training regarding the use of techniques; partials/contractions etc.

Before applying such techniques to a routine, do you think it is important to have reached a certain strength level or bicep size?

Nah I just go for the pump bro. Sometimes I hit heavy weight but I like high reps with arm training for the most part and that usually includes some drop sets and partials on my last exercises. I say bust your ass now, no need to wait.

Intensity techniques = pushing harder and busting your ass.

Hey thanks FF

Damn man I wish I had my old computer. All those pictures were on there. I looked emaciated for sure. Starting to feel decent now, but lots of work needs to be done.

Thanks for the advice man, appreciate it.
