17 Inch Arms

Just measured mine at 17.25" cold. Some pics are up from a couple of months ago in my profile if you want to see.

Great work ,man.Keep it pumping.

Looking good. You need some shoulder improvement though.

I have done hardly any triceps isolation exercises except for a short interlude with doggcrapp trainig which I stopped because I got convinced I am not advanced enough. I thought that my triceps got enough stimulation from compound pressing but maybe I was wrong.

Madcow 5x5 calls for tri-extensions, BB curls, and dips (ie assistance work). There’s no reason to avoid direct arm work if you’re doing or have done the Madcow program.

Yeah, they are getting their own day now.

Here’s mine from last night, last time I measured was a little over 17" cold, that was like 7-10 lbs ago I think.

damn, huge arms.

Hm, I ditched fridays’s triceps extensions because I added other assistance work which I thought more important but maybe that was a mistake.

I would not consider dips an isolation movement and would not have mentioned them, if I had been doing them. But actually I skipped them during 5x5. Why I no longer know. Especially, because I actually like doing them. Gonna add them next friday.

By the way, the progress on your arms is absolutely fantastic!! I am going to study your log. If I could get them up to 17 inch, I would be the happiest guy in the world.

Now that looks like a real 17". I think some of you are letting that tape measure sag a little.

Seems like it. Strangely enough, my 15" arms look quite a bit bigger than the OP’s…

17" arm, aww, i feel tiny, I only have 12", but I only started 2 months ago

nice work mate

Newb here, 6’3 232lbs.

Don’t know size, but from the majority of pics I’m guessing 17.5-18ish. Maybe one day I’ll measure.

The tennis ball behind the arm certainly helps ‘fill out the tape’…

You’re kidding, right? Are you actually estimating your arm measurement by looking at pictures of other people’s arms?

Jesus H. Christ…

I had 15 inch arms back in the tenth grade big boy and the tape measure doesn’t lie.

A better shot of the ole guns…

I’m not saying they’re 18 cold, but when I flex them that’s what they measure. Is this the incorrect arm measuring protocol?

All arm measurements in bbing are taken flexed.
Unless you’re arthur jones, of course. He had to do it differently so that he could claim that people lie about their arm size big time.

Besides, how tall are you again?

Edit: Triceps and Delts are lagging imo (no offense meant), and could you please put on something decent ;D

6 foot even. I know about the delts my friend, trut me. Tris have always lagged too, especially next to the tris.

And hey, that’s my work attire!
