1600 Calories weight stalled

Currently I’ve been dieting for 210 days( Goal was to be 180 days) things started off at a body weight of 105 kg and I’ve lost 20kg so far, however I’ve been stuck here for about a month and wanna lose another 5kg, ideally before Christmas.

I weight train 4 times per week and have recently progressed to 15000 steps a day from the initial 10k I was doing to begin with.

Protein has always maintained at 2.5g/kg and fats between 30 and 40 gram with the rest carbs, which have come down over the months currently below 100 grams a day. Typically consume most the calories in the evening now which is when I’m hungry.

Have ran 315mg test e a week since starting with the addition of Oxandrolone 3 weeks ago at 40mg per day split into two doses across the day.

Intensity in the gym is still decent with the reduced ability to get pumps as expected but feeling more sluggish/anxious and demotivated outside, can’t concentrate on reading and movies. Don’t know how much this is because it’s coming into winter which I hate!

Sleep is another factor that’s taking a hit noticeably, takes longer to fall asleep, waking up multiple times a night. Trouble getting out of bed.

Libido is completely tanked, never really in the mood much and erections are quite weak whenever I attempt anything.

Don’t think I’ve missed anything out but is there much I can do from here to start fat loss going again and mitigate the sides?

Sleep and libido take a hit after the Oxandrolone? Age, height, training history? How long were you at 105kg for? What was your weight when you graduated high school?

Na Oxandrolone hasn’t done it, was like it before. I’m 24, 178cm, have trained since I was 14. Was 105kg a good few months before starting the diet.

How many calories did you start your diet at?

2250 from 3k. Rather aggressive i know.

What are your macros? 1600cals is not gonna cut it. If you set up your diet correctly you should never have even gotten here. Your metabolism is going to be shit.
I’d like to see current macros before going any further but it’s looking like a diet break is in your future.

This was your first mistake,

I suppose but it would have only have been 2500 if I chose to do the standard 500 calorie deficit. Managed to lose 15kgs on 2250 though.

95 carbs, 215 protein , 40 fats

There is no standard. You drop a couple hundred and stay there until weight loss stalls then another couple hundred. The only time a big drop is warranted if if your only dieting for a few weeks to clean up a bit.

How tall are you? You’re still 230lbs. Assuming you still have a ways to go unless heavily muscled.
The only option you have right now is a macro shift. Less carbs and more fats keeping all carbs around training. You cant drop cals any lower.
How much cardio re you doing?

It sounds crazy, but we’ve seen people ADD calories and start losing weight again in a situation like this.

It sounds like you’re having all the negative side effects and hormonal changes of “slowed metabolism.” Or your body has shifted to “survival mode.” Basically your body doing everything it can to slow down your metabolic rate and calorie expenditure, and to burn as few calories as possible.

Consider ADDING calories, up to 2200-2400, and see if you start feeling better and losing weight again.

Not crazy at all. If he bumped fats he would prob progress a bit but 1600 cals is neither healthy or sustainable.

Well, it doesn’t sound crazy to you, you know better!

But it might sound crazy to a Crash Dieting Calorie Counter who has already had some success dropping a ton of calories.

Anyway, I totally agree with you about 1600 cal being unhealthy and unsustainable. And about how its better to begin a cutting phase with a smaller initial drop.

Why do you suggest increasing fats over carbs?

I know a guy.

Because good fats will promote healthy hormone activity and help get metabolism up a bit. You’ve been dieting a long time. Only thing you can really do right now is juggle macros a bit or raise cardio.
Personally I would take a diet break and try to get cals back up and metabolism stoked again.
Can you post a pic of your current physique?

100% what I’d do. Be as diligent in this break as you were in the diet - don’t just get fat over the holidays.
