Whats wrong with the “1,000lb Club”??? Its not crazy strength but thats not really something to scoff at (I know his squat was high and that DL definitely wasnt locked out… but if it was a legit 1,000+ lbs that wouldnt be a super weak)
Agreed, I think we (T-Nation regulars) take this kind of strength for granted because we live it. Most of us clear 1000 pretty easily but to the regular gym goer 1k is crazy weight and to the general population it’s the roidz.
I’d be willing to bet that there are probably a good amount of posters (and regulars here) that couldnt put up a legit 1,000lb total (excluding probably most people in the PL forum lol)
but yeah 1,000lb club is something most gym goes probably will never reach (but we arent really comparing ourselves to regular gym goers and I know that)
What’s wrong with being in a 1000lb club? So many haters.
Shouldn’t we be more supportive? This is a lifting website right. I could understand if there was someone bragging, but to post an accomplishment and get it trashed is a little crazy. I’ve been on this site long enough to know that there are quite a few who could hit 1000 as a warmup. I also know there are many on this site that bitch and moan about everything on here but couldn’t come close to 1000.

Just to reiterate, OP did not post an accomplishment.

Nope, posted an awesome deadlift in board shorts.

That’s not what happened here. The video is NOT the OP.

If someone legitimately posted a video like this after they had been lifting for a few years, I simply wouldn’t have posted a comment at all. I’m surely not going to go blow smoke up peoples ass. I’m not going to tear them down either. But since this was not someone posting their own lifts and we’re on the topic of whether 1,000 lbs is supposed to be an accomplishment , I threw my own 2 cents in. I’m not specifically “hating” on anyone.
If it’s a beginner (6 months training) posting a vid like this in the BOI for example, I’ll give them props on making progress. But if it’s someone hollering “1,000 lbs bitches!!!” after working out for 3 years…well that’s a whole different story.

I never knew I looked so tan to most people. I am flattered, my white skin is apparently not so white.

Your “lat spread” is more odd though.

Care to elaborate?
If some guy was flexing his 13 in arms in his avatar what would you think? No too mention you’re posing wrong.
If I cared what you thought, thought your physique was impressive(I don’t), or had actually practiced posing for anything besides progress pictures, I think seriously about what you said. However I don’t, and I have better things to do than respond to you. So in short, grow up, I don’t care what you think.
You just responded, so obviously you do NOT have better things to do. Second of all I wasn’t the one critiquing the guy in the video- you were; Therefore I pointed out your disgusting hunchback.

YAY-YO! This thread woulda been so much better. Who even looked at 1,000 lbs as being impressive? 1,500…sure.
I just dont see any real accomplishment in hitting 1,000 anyone else?

Did I miss a memo somewhere? Are board shorts taboo now? (Not that I wear them of course lol)
Also mentions of the 3/4/5 club makes me sad (I’m in the same boat as beans)
Also, why all the haterade on blaze? Yeesh.
Also… I got nothing carry on lol.

WOW his twinkle toe deadlift is legendary
where did these 1000lb club videos come from? They all bench deadlift squat instead of squat bench deadlift. all hitch their deadlifts and all do 1/4 squats. At my raw powerlifting meet I am hoping to get in the 1,000lb club with my squat and deadlift.
The saddest thing is they all out bench me, wtf is wrong with me?
OMFG! There is no way that was done as anything but a joke.
Omfg the razors edge.

Haterade is tasty apparently.
