10 Reason Why Islam Isn't a Religion of Peace

Homogeneity IS a numbers game.
Not really. I mean, I rarely see Ferraris or other ridiculous displays of wealth in Sweden. And trust me, it’s not because there are no people who can afford to. It’s a mentality and attitude thing. They have this lagom (there’s no English equivalent to the word) philosophy which is supposed to be accepted without question. It’s pervasive in their culture and very hard to describe. And no, I do not think it’s a number’s game as I’ve been to places with less density where people were all too happy to show off their gadgets and such.

It is of course changing as globalization gains more terrain. But this peculiar trait is still noticeable.

lixy the khimar was the origin of hijab , the

khimar was a head cover starting from the top

of the head down to the shoulders and covers up

everything, and yes back then it was used to

cover the cleavages as u mentioned , but the

modern hijab is wrapped in many ways some ppl

here wear something they call a spanish hijab

where they only wear a hijab that covers the

head and tie the rest of the scarf behind

their backs there it’s freely flying , but

women who wear that hijab wear turtle necks.

as for myslef i don’t like the niqab i feel

its over rated, but hijab along with proper

clothing is fine since it puts an end to

other men’s lusts

While I’m all for anecdotal evidence,it’s hard to extrapolate causation from it.
If there is a mass immigration into any culture,do you not agree that homogeneity suffers?
And that the bigger the population, the less homogenous it is?
That’s why villages are more homogenous than big cities.

The hijab “puts an end to other men’s lusts”? I don’t think so.

First of all, “other men” is not an appropriate expression seeing how single women wear it as well. And it certainly does not put an end to lust. It may be considered a sign that can potentially incite a man to keep his lust in check, but it’s definitely there.

And please, make an effort to format your posts. They’re a pain to read.

And I am curious as well. Whoever told you that bit of disinformation?
Egyptian fella I went to high school with. He was Muslim.

Cool,

also, if ya don’t like a thread, don’t bump one over a year old.

I haven’t read any posts an I don’t plan to but Catholics crusades enough said

Why are there threads like this?
Because some people are clueless/evil/lazy/supremacists/stupid/what-have-you. The post-9/11 hysteria, war on Iraq and lack of proper rule of law and democracy in a lot of Muslim-majority countries doesn’t help much either.

The good news is that this propaganda is - currently - mostly restricted to the Anglo-saxon world (US, UK, Australia, etc.)

The bad news is the word currently in the above statement.

please don’t bump this thread anymore, we are over with it. Last year we talked , talked and then talked some more and reached a verdict that because some Muslims are fuckups doesn’t mean that all Muslims are fuckups. just let it go.

If God is so smart, why do we fart?
Because it fun to gross out the girls.
yusef wrote:
I see your point Chushin, so then threads like this are to educate existing Muslims (people currently eating the food) about their religion, so that they realise the ‘danger’ and cease being Muslim? This is not a rhetorical question.
These threads are here for a variety of reasons and the participants in them have their own reasons for contributing.

One of the things that we are dealing with in the Anglo Saxon world is our politicians have outright lied to us about the nature of Islam. When we turn on the tv we get a steady stream of a PR job that tries to portray Islam as a very peaceful religion. We get told that Islam is a peaceful religion that somehow (which they never explain) has been hijacked.

Some of us see through the lies and want our fellow citizens to know what we are up against.
