Notes:

  • Bench felt light enough, but every rep felt a bit janky.
  • Everything felt a bit off today, to be honest, might be coming down with something.

Thats it. Got caught in some massive traffic on the way to the gym, so ran out of time. May try to get some more work done tomorrow morning, if i think its worth it.
Weights felt stupid light though, combined the last couple of sets due to time and to push a bit closer to failure.

Climbed pretty badly, to be honest, but luckily the finger strength is still good enough to mostly get away with it. Also made some proper adult decisions and bailed on a couple of moves that felt sketchy. Don’t think the better half would approve of me reinjuring myself at the start of the summer holidays

  • This was hard work, was genuinely amazed i managed all these sets. 3 more workouts, and i’m going to have to work really hard to make sure i can make it through the last one.

  • Interesting to see that even with an early start, the gym is still busy. 4:30 am, and i still thinknthere was over 50 people in the gym.
  • This bench program is starting to suck. Even at an easy weight, 12 sets is gruelling and dull. 2 more sessions to go
  • May not get much training done over the next week, i have family visiting.

  • Ran out of time for assistance here. 12 sets takes a long time, and these were pretty hard. I’m definitely going to need to be on top form for the last session.
  • Absolutely itching to get some more volume and some more lifts in now. Slightly under 4 weeks to go until I expect that to be realistic.

Smashed around on some indoor boulders.

Ridiculously hot, which slowed me down a bit. My head is also definitely gone, I was using my ankle as an excuse to back out of any slightly sketchy moves near the top of the wall. Getting my head back is probably the low hanging fruit for my climbing right now.
