Felt much better today, bumped the weight up slightly, did slightly more reps, all good things. I think a couple more sessions like this should prep me well to increase volume andntry some actual programming once summer holidays are done.

So much new stuff in the centre, iām pretty much just flashing an endless supply of easy stuff. Iām also climbing so infrequently at the minute that my head is definitely gone, skin is baby soft and endurance is absolutely tanked. Hard to tell whether top end strength is actually still there at this point, but it feels like it probably is? I havenāt climbed with anyone good enough to compare recently.

2 hours bouldering, plenty of new sets still so i spent the time slowly cruising through some easy climbs. Went up to about V4 level, which is a comfortable flash grade for me, even in my current condition.
Pretty slow pace. Starting with the positives; it feels like top end strength and technique are still there, from what i can tell. On the other hand, skin is baby soft, climbing fitness is gone and my head is not really right either. Didnāt bail on anything today, but didnāt really try anything difficult enough to need to bail on.

Spent over 7 hours climbing last Tuesday, taking part in some coaching sessions as well.
Climbed again Thursday and Friday, both pretty heavy sessions so ended up missing my planned gym session Saturday.
Climbed again yesterday, not a bad session. Head seems to be coming back, and performance wasnāt bad either. Feeling pretty positive about it at the minute.
Should also be back to a fairly normal schedule, so will start some form of beginner prep program soon. The aim is to continue losing weight for a couple of months before bumping calories and starting the Dave Tate periodisation bible style programming.
