Long story. Boring story.

I left my normal morning Monster at work yesterday, and had none spare this morning so went without. In that same bag was my lifting gear, including my belt, knee sleeves etc. because I was under the strange illusion I was going to get a session in last night on my way home.

Edit: what @anna_5588 says is also kinda true. My garage/home gym is not attached to my home, but not really the issue here.

Or maybe he just dumps his trash down at the local children’s hospital.

Just start wearing your knee sleeves and belt wherever you go. Problem solved.

@Cyrrex you should see the looks I get wearing my belt in the gym, never mind elsewhere. I did wear my left knee sleeve for a few days once I first fucked my knee up the first time and got a bit of a reaction to it for a week or so after.

@boyce79 I haven’t, but is it sugar free? I only drink Ultras because I’m a fat bastard and I can’t afford to be drinking 70g+ of sugar.

@jdm135 I am literally a bigger guy than you though, mostly belly, and just off the back of 1.5 cycles of Morningstar in which those three movements were all I did. I’m confident you’d smoke me at bodyweight work.

Monster Ultra is the only energy drink I actively seek out. They taste fucking incredible and I would drink them if they made a decaf (aka diet pop) because they’re better than any diet drink out there.

Also, good on you for grinding through periods where you don’t feel right man. It sucks when lifting becomes a trudge but we all gotta push on.

Yep. It’s a template from Forever. 3 days a week, every workout is powercleans, front squats and presses, in that order. I won’t go into too much detail because Jim deserves better.

I drink one every morning as part of a routine now. I, of course, have a favourite flavour list:

Ultra Violet
Ultra Red
Ultra Fiesta
Ultra Paradise
Ultra Black

Ultra White or Blue are purely for emergencies, because they suck.

Thanks man. When I combine all the factors, I’m convinced I have to work three times as hard as other people so even when I’m ā€œoffā€, I still need to get some work in just to avoid regressing too hard.

Yes it’s an ultra.

False. Blue is amazing. Red is top, then Blue, Rose, Fiesta, Paradise, Sunrise. Generally I’m not super picky though.

I think I’m in the same boat too. It really sucks but in the end you can say you were successful in spite of your troubles.

@garagerocker13 I disagree on blue. That’s the only one that I would drink coffee to avoid. We don’t have Rose or Sunrise here that I’ve seen. I also want to try Gold as well.

It kinda sucks, in that it probably means I’ll never be truly ā€œEliteā€, but beating the general public is such a low bar that I’m ok with it.

All of that in the minute? That’s a really tough workout mate. It would be super hard for me even though my power is like almost 110.

You did that session in this terrible fashion, you should just be proud of your effort!

I do it complex style, so takes about 15-20s fresh at that kind of weight, depending how strict the press is. Its a very submaximal weight on all the lifts, apart from press where I have the option to cheat and push press.
