That is the way it should be if you plan to stay alive. The thing is, everyone would claim this is inhumane…because they live in a society that ‘works’.

Let’s assume the world ends. You need the exact number of people with you that can perform certain jobs. Anyone else is largely extra mass weighing you down. If no one with you can jump start a car, handle some tools, kill a deer, shoot a rifle, COOK or any number of things you will need to survive, you will be dead soon.

Hell, the ONLY reason that crew is still kicking is because while they do seem to be growing on one another, they all fit a role for the most part. The ones who didn’t were the ones eaten in that previous episode (one reason I hate that they killed off the black woman because she appeared useful while that one chic’s sister didn’t really contribute much.

The people who really survive in a situation like that will be the ones who can work as a group the best and the ones not afraid to cut their losses.

If your mom gets bit, taking her with you will get you killed…even though you love your mom.

If you can’t handle that, you will likely die soon too.

This is also why they chose those actors from the Mist…they have already shown they know how to do “desperate humans in the face of the loss of all society”. In a scenario like that, the PEOPLE become the real monsters.
What did the Black woman contribute? All I remember her doing was washing clothes, the blond lady and her dead sister brought back like 15+ fish.
She was the one who knew the sewer systems under the old buildings so they could travel (even though they were blocked by a zombie). She worked for the city. I could see that as being useful in the future.

What does the Sheriff’s wife contribute besides nagging and banging her husband’s best friend?

argh what happened with the black dad and his son?He has no clue where the group is going.

They still have the radios I’m sure they’ll explaine Grimes was talking to him off camera for awhile

Ok Ok Ok, Im still upset about the best friend banging his friends wife thing…Honestly if it were me I wouldve sought out any other number of chicks. Its not like its the zombie apocalypse and theres NO more pussy left…He prolly liked her before his friend died…IDK it will mos def be interesting to see where the writers take it.

I am a man of principal…LOL

They sort of set it up in the begining Grimes is talking about his wife and Gomer is listening and you could almost tell he wanted to use this knlwledge, oh Grimes said this blah blah. Maybe it’s from being burned by “friends” but I knew before it was said and also before I read book one(which should have been how sheriff rapist shoudl have went)

Oh and WTF happened to MURL? Is he still alive??? lol

So a vague knowledge of city buildings > food? I don’t get it, I think I would want to stay as far away from the city as possible anyways, and in that case she is useless. You said it yourself if you have no uses the group needs to evaluate your presence.

Lol? He is saying the blond chick contributed nothing while the black lady had uses, which is clearly not the case. No need to get defensive.

Totally agree with this. That’s why if I were the leader of that group I would’ve croaked the fat husband a long time ago.
Sadly, the redneck seems to be the only guy who gets the whole zero-tolerance-for-zombies if-you`re-useless-shovel-to-the-head idea that is essential for survival.
Really pisses me off in movies like this when some people are being counter-productive and a liability.

Couple other pointers:

-They haven’t discussed whether zombies can swim, otherwise they could have built rafts and stayed on the water at night so they wouldn`t be caught with their pants down during a night-time zombie raid.

-Grimes must have woken up a week after his partner left him (for dead?) at the latest. A standard IV bag only goes for so long and if it had been any longer without water he would have woken up dead.
Just wanted to add that to the fidelity discussion.

Cool it boys, it’s a discussion- that’s what message boards are there for anyways…
Fact is, both the black lady and the young blonde are healthy females (re-population anyone?) who have some skills and are willing and able to work for survival, so they are valued assets.

Fat husband: No skills, unreliable, bad attitude - liability, waste of food.

Why are you getting upset? It’s just a discussion. I’m saying in my opinion(obviously yours is different), that the ability to catch fish and produce food should be much higher on the important list of skills then former city worker who has a general knowledge of the sewer system.

Aren’t they sorta escaping Atlanta? I know it’s up in the air, but I believe it’s sorta implied that they’re gonna go somewhere else completely. In any case, that would make her knowledge of cities somewhat useless lol.

Also, I thought it was implied that Lori was banging Shane, because of the issues between the two (that first conversation, but I guess not)

Yeahhhh they are dead now.Next.

Michael Rooker interview:
http://my.spill.com/profiles/blogs/interview-michael-rooker

It’s pure Internet hilarity when guys can actually get super pissed at each other in a fictional discussion about how to survive a zombie apocalypse. Just goes to show you that people will argue about the stupidest shit…lol…

Anyway, great season ender - loved all that shit at the CDC, especially the science behind the outbreak - very interesting stuff. I also think the doc told Rick his wife was pregnant - most logical thing considering the blood test. Thing is, maybe you should pull your dick out since you know damn well you’re in the middle of the end of the world. Who the fuck would want to be pregnant with no doctors or hospitals? Plus you’re getting fatter and fatter and less mobile everyday while zombies are everywhere wanting to eat you…
