In the event of a zombie apocalypse, I would be a lot more worried about survivors than zombies. A zombie apocalypse would be a good opportunity for people to generally act out whatever sociopathic tendencies they may have.
I think there would be roaming bands of survivors that get together to rape, pillage and generally make a bad situation much, much worse. There would be very little camaraderie and sense of “fellow man”, and more “every man for himself”. You probably wouldn’t even be able to depend on the military either.
I think holing up somewhere with as much “boots beans and bullets” as you can would be a very bad idea. You would be a very easy target for a gang of ne’er do wells, as well as zombies. You would have to move constantly, travel light, stay out of sight and scavenge in order to survive.
I know that zombie movies teach us that we can all band together to survive, but you know that’s not the case. It would be total chaos, with everyone running about shooting at each other. Not an environment conducive to building a survivor force to fend off the zombie assault.[/quote]

I only saw the first episode because it was the only one on “On Demand”, but I watched it twice already. I’ve got a recording scheduled for the second episode so I’ll be ready for the third tomorrow.
New Sunday nights!!! Dexter at 8, and The Walking Dead at 9! Gonna have to start recording “Bored To Death” though, because it’s also on at 9 on HBO

After watching the first episode I got a real weird feeling from that greaser zombie that gave the main character a look right before he close the tank lid. I was so convinced it was him on the radio after and was disappointed when it was Glen.
