Still like that. Oh well.
For dinner its Beef and Vegetable soup, or Tuna Noodle casserole. I cant keep up with the fast thing. I cant get my nutrients in that way. Parents wont let me really eat like that if I tell them, they’re neutral/against the whole church and christianity thing
Tuna cassrole: 2 cups
1 can tuna
1 cup 2% milk
Peanut butter honey crackers
Beef Jerky chew
1 fruit strip
1/4 cinnamon bun
Another cup of milk
1.5 oz goat cheese
Protein is in. 500 Kcal left I don’t care.

Do you have someone that’s influenced you in the way of Orthodox Christianity?

Awhile ago, the summer before 8th grade, when I was eating horribly and was getting fat, a random mind popped into my head. “Fast for a day”. So I fasted, maybe not the whole day but most of it. My mind was clear. Previously I was under the delusion that i should see how fat I could get. Idk, something was wrong with me. Anyways, my mind became clear, I saw my disgustingness, and from there I decided to become Christian. I then flip-flopped between Christianity, Wicca, Judaeism (only a few days), then back to Christianity. It was last summer I discovered Orthodoxy. Since then Ive been trying to become closer to God, and 2 weeks ago he blessed me with the ability to go to Church on Sundays.
So to answer your question, yes; God led me.

Amazingly, no stomach ache.
Aug 7 W6D4 Max Strength Day
Still sore from the last workout, we will see if i can do it today. I really do want to do it. I think as long as i warm up good i might be fine.
Today’s assignments:
Knit sweater
Work on filing teeth on gear (Didn’t finish yesterday)
Gotta enjoy this week, next week its supposed to be in the 90s again… Il use that time and any time now to soak up some more sunlight, for a tan and also for the health benefits (I read on a post somewhere here that it increases testosterone, so, i want that)
I was thinking, and I noticed that its not really a fat problem. I can feel my abs through the bit of fat while relaxed, and, I think I just need to work on my transverse abdominis.
Monday Through Friday Im going to be doing 6 reps of stomach vacuums for time.
Also, when you do them, Are you supposed to hold your breath?

Yesterday I got a look of myself in the mirror. HOLY COW. I look very wide in the shoulders and chest. I think a good amount of it is just like inflammation from being sore, and water/full glycogen stores, but… dang. Should have taken a picture.
Fixed the typing window. There’s a little button the says switch to standard markdown editor, so I pressed it and its back to normal. Finally. When I hit the enter bar,it goes down
this much, not

I gotta fix my diet and whatever. Ive definitely put on a few pounds of fat. Im lowering my calories to 2700 a day from 3000

We discussed this previously. Calories aren’t a bad way to go about it, but focusing on nutrient QUALITY could really go a long way. One of the issues with blanket calorie restriction is that it can often result in de facto nutrient restriction. We just start eating less of the same foods we’re already eating, which will mean less total nutrients across the spectrum. If we strategically eliminate nutrient void foods, we’ll create a de facto calorie restriction while still prioritizing nutrients.

Thats definitely true, but, I think I am also just eating too many calories. I adjusted my calorie intake up to 3000 when I was going to continue lean bulking, which I never did, but kept eating the same, which meant I was going to gain weight one way or another, muscle or fat.
Im going to stop eating added sugars for one, and focus on replacing low quality carbs with high quality carbs like whole grain, vegetables, and fruits. Limiting juice also.
I hate the feeling of having fat on me, it disgusts me. it bothers me when I sit down because I feel it and feel disgusted at myself. It doesn’t serve me any purpose, having this amount of fat. I know fat is neccesary, but, I could do with a few less pounds of it.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be leaner, especially while performing base building and Operator. That’s a great time to achieve that goal. I’m more just speaking on the way to achieve a calorie reduction. Like, if a 15 year old athlete ate 2500 calories per day by cutting out a ribeye steak but kept ice cream in their diet vs eating a 3000 calorie diet by cutting out the ice cream and eating an extra ribeye, I’d rather he pick the latter than the former. But if we get to the deficit by cutting out the ice cream: that’s awesome.

Definitely, of course. The calories need to be high quality and nutrient dense.
For lunch, I think I’m going to cook up some salmon and flounder, and try to make something extra nutritious with it by adding vegetables and whatnot.

A video I just watched confirmed what I had been thinking about. The entire “Healthy Whole Grains” is pretty much just wrong.
- The studies that aim to link the effects of whole grain with better health are not very conclusive, as they are observational studies. Those who aim to eat whole grains are generally more likely to also exercise, not smoke, lead healthy lifestyles
- The studies comparing the “healthiness” of the grain compared it only with the refined grain. Of course the whole is better than refined, but, its not a lot.
- The nutrients in grains (whole, and refined enriched) can easily be oxidized in air, and the protein in the grain is not complete.
So, I’ve decided to really aim to limit my grain consumption. They have their use, as a source of carbs, but, generally I don’t need it. I need to start asking myself the purpose of what the food I’m eating is. All they offer for the most part is just carbs. Not much nutrition really.

I’m very much in agreement with this approach. I find no benefit to grains in a diet, outside of enjoyment.
I mentioned it previously, but I feel you’d appreciate Mark Sisson’s “Primal Blueprint”, which lays out meat, fish, poultry, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and healthy fats as the foundation for nutrition. It restricts grains, legumes, vegetable oils and added sugars. There are far worse blueprints to follow.
I myself ascribe to a carnivore way of eating, but came to that conclusion after many years of trying other approaches. It’s great to experiment and find what works for us.

Will be working out in the evening today. not ideal but I don’t mind. Probably after dinner, were getting cheeseburgers from the farmers market. Personally, I count them as healthy (in moderation of course), They are very good quality, good beef. Tasty too. It comes with fries and a soda, Il eat the fries for the carbs, but probably not the soda.
I will definitely check out “Primal Blueprint”, I took a glance at the page seems interesting, pretty much how I would want me diet; Real foods that are common, and without grain. I would personally still have beans as part of my diet, but peanuts I would keep low.
Also, I found out vegetable oil isn’t even made from vegetables. Its made from soybeans, or some other non-vegetable like cottonseed.
I think it would be beneficial to add some assistance work. What should I add, anything along side face pulls?
Dinner:
Double Cheeseburger
10 fries
----Total: 905 Kcal, 52g fat, 59g carbs, 49g protein
Days total: 2534 Kcal, 121g fat, 187g carbs, 173g protein
116 Kcal left, will spend them after I lift.
