Yury Belkin ATWR Total in Sleeves?

He does a meet every time he goes in the gym so who knows

Was curious so did some digging. I think this might be the deadlift bar Belkin and a few other Russians are using. Knockoff Texas bar. @chris_ottawa didn’t u say u could translate a bit of Russian?

No but bing or google can. I can speak and read a bit of Polish, which is a similar language but uses a different alphabet.

“Bar” is “gryf”, which also means vulture for some reason

YOUSTEEL represents an analogue of a professional vulture for powerlifting - Texas Deadlift Bar.

There are standard parameters that it should have: weight 20 kg, length of 2300 mm, diameter 27 mm and lack of central notce. Griff is made of high-strength steel, has an aggressive notch and is covered with black zinc. The allowable static load reaches 800 kilograms. The sleeves are arranged by 2 copper sleeves, which provide the optimal speed of rotation of the handle, when performing exercises with large weights.

Power bar 20kg is included in the class of professional sports equipment.
Our suggested vultures from the series “Yousteel vultures for powerlifting” have all the advantages of classic Texas Bars. Here they can be purchased at a bargain price, in any way convenient for you.

Sounds about right. Good time as any to export Russian goods. Not too many deadlift bars around the world. Cheaper than getting a TDB at least to Australia

You are going to buy it or what? I see no reason not to really, just check reviews and such to make sure it’s legit.

Nah, I got me sumo deadlift bar from StrongArm Sport a while ago. Cheaper than these guys. My friend whose garage I train at has a regular deadlift bar too so I’m set

Not sure what this guy weighs but can’t be far off, 427.5kg and it looks like a WL bar not a DL bar:

Speaking of Iranians this guy exploded his hips walking out 527.5kg raw. ATWR is 525kg by Vlad Alhazov in comp which I’m guessing is why that number was put on the bar.

Out of comp, random as plates and he 100% would’ve hit a squat as high as snoop dog. Can’t help but feel isa ego lifting right there. Can’t get away with it when ur that strong

He did a double at 435, first one looked to depth, second maybe a touch high :man_shrugging: Dudes an animal

I think we should start an Iranian lifter thread. 83kg ATWR squat is held by a young Iranian lifter and they have a bunch of other elite powerlifters. Have a strongman guy who has pulled high 400s as well but lockout is suss as

That one was high as fuck too though

Edit: seems that was a bit of an exaggeration, depth was questionable but not anything ridiculous

You reckon? I’ve only seen that one from the front. With a wide stance and phat thighs wouldn’t be comfy calling it from the front.

It was so high that even from the front it was obvious. Like several inches above parallel.

Maybe I’m exaggerating a bit saying serval inches but still there is no way it’s to depth:

Ye I dunno I reckon his hip crease in buried deep in there behind his thighs and belly. Such is judging SHW squats. Ima go look up some other SHW squats see if there’s guy looking like they really bury it

Edit: this the 525?

Mike Miller did 1200lbs when I was competing. He showed up to compete Strongman at a contest I did a couple of months after. Who decides these records? His was in a competition, although it equally looked high.

I think it is actually, I was under the impression that there was no side view video of this lift but maybe that’s not the case. It’s hard to tell exactly where the hip crease is since he’s so big but I would say it’s right around parallel. Definitely looks better than the front angle but still skeptical.

This one here looks good beyond any question:

There is no official list of records outside of individual federations, powerliftingwatch used to be the main site keeping track until the guy running it got busted for child porn. Now its openpowerlifting, their site is much better but they don’t do anything to verify the validity of records. As long as it was in a PL meet with some sort of judging it counts, even some lifts from unsanctioned meets like the last Boss of Bosses.
