haha I dont know if you noticed, but I started @230lbs, so im going in the opposite direction. #RoadtoUltraLightWeight
Wasnāt paying attention at all thought you were 190-200lbs this whole time.
When I first Started posting in November I was 200lbs, packed on some fluff so i could survive the winter. Now, if i want to find a mate, I need to cut down the fluff to around 215lbs.
Did you hibernate though
I entered a hybrid-hibernation stage were I only woke up 3 days a week for 2hrs to lift.
Weight: 224lbs
Tuesday(3/13) Conditioning Day
-Spent about 6-7hrs shoveling snow, some god tier conditioning right there. Everything is sore, spent today(Wednesday) just doing some walking, stretching, and foam rolling. Hopefully will be less sore tomorrow so I can get some actual work in.
-Also, met with my coach Monday to do an initial evaluation, go over my goals, and techniques for the main lifts. Everything went will, is writing me a program that he is sending tonight. Will post it here when he does.

- Feel like tricep strength is a major weekpoint for me so i threw in the close grip bench and the skullcrushers
- Had trouble at lockout with my max deadlift the week before so i threw some rackpulls in today

Week 1
Weight: 223.5lbs
Tuesday(3/20) Day 1(Squat/Deadlift)
- Deadlift:
1x5(135lbs), 1x5(225lbs), 1x5(315lbs), 1x3(405lbs), 1x3(485lbs) - Axle Deadlift:

1x5(265lbs), 2x5(315lbs) - GHR 4x8(BW)
Reverse Sled Drag 4x15yards(405lbs)
Valslide Body Saw 4x10(BW)
Notes
- First day of the program that my coach wrote for me, gotta say its really different than what I have been doing, which is great. Change is good.
- Worked up to 3 reps at 485lbs for the deadlift, the weight is gonna be going up every week
- Afterwords worked on the Axle, no straps allowed for the comp so I wont be using any in training.
- They were amrap sets, but coach said to stop at 12reps, he will be bumping the weight up alot next week
- First time using a SSB Bar, was really excited about this cause I have always wanted to train with one. Definitely gonna take a couple weeks to get used too.
- Was supposed to do a 1x5 set with 345lbs, but 315lbs felt heavy the first go around, so I did another set with it really focusing on the technique and how the bar felt on my back. Will be trying 345lbs next week.
- Last set of exercises was completed as a group, going from one to the other for 12 minutes. Was able to get 4 rounds in. Shooting for 5 rounds next week.
- The slides were the hardest by the end, need to work on maintaining a tight core/body.
INSPIRATIONAL SONG OF THE DAY
Congrats on starting new program, and it seems like you enjoyed it! How many times a week do you lift on this new program?
Thank you, yeah Iāve been doing 5/3/1 for so long that getting back to something like this is exciting. Can definitely feel it now, the DOMS are real. 4 Times a week, 1 Lower Body, 2 Upper Body, 1 Event Day
Oh the DOMS when you start something new!!! Some people like themā¦are you one of those weirdos??
Fuck no, putting my shoes on this morning was such a struggle my hammies and low back are so tight. Just tried to touch my toes and barely got past my knees. I can normally do palms touching ground.
Week 1
Weight: 223.5lbs
Thursday(3/22) Day 2(Overhead Day)
- AP Bar Press(Clean once)
1x5(100lbs), 1x5(115lbs), 1x12(130lbs) - 1-Arm DB Press w/ Fat-Gripz
3x5/ea(60lbs,70lbs,80lbs), 1x5/ea(90lbs) - Neutral Grip Pull-Ups
2x15(BW) - 1-Arm DB Rows 4x8(100lbs)
Dips 4x10(BW)
Band Face Pulls 4x12(Medium/Heavy Resistance)
Notes
- Still donāt have access to a log, but the AP Bar simulates it very well so Iām glad my coach put it in the program. Does the job of putting the weight far in front of you like a log.
- The last set performed was an AMRAP set with a 12 rep cap, got the first 8 strict and the last 4 were push press.
- Worked up to a 5RM for the 1-Arm Press, RPE around 9(Gonna start using RPE cause its what the man wants)
- Definitely a lot stronger on my right side with the 1-Arm Press, was able to get 5 on both sides but the last rep on the left side was a lot harder. Think its more of a balance issue tho.
- Had to do 30 Reps of pull-ups, got it done in 2 sets.
- Last set of exercises was completed as a group, going from one to the other for 12 minutes. Was able to get 4 rounds in. Shooting for 5 rounds next week.
- Started off at an RPE 6 and ended around an 8

Notes
- Went to a strongman gym today to work on events, went very well. First time Ill actually be working with implements before a competition so thats fantastic.
- Donāt really know if these are good times/numbers for these specific implements, but I definitely worked my ass off.
- Lot of conditioning today too, doing theses events, so that was good, need to work on that.
- Husafell was awkward as hell, took me a bit to figure out a good way to hold it
- All in all, happy with the work today and looking forward to going back next week

Notes
- Lots of volume today to end the first week
- Main lifts felt good, today at an RPE 7 for the axle and 9 for the Bench, which was an AMRAP set.
- Really like training a lot better on the axle than a barbell, feels better on my wrists and shoulders
- Havenāt done flat bench in a while, felt smooth, slipped a little bit on the 10th rep so I ended it there.
- Enjoyed the BB style back workouts for this day
- Completed 5 rounds in the 12-minute circuit at the end, got a nice pump from it
- Did a 10minute bike ride at the end to cooldown
INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC VIDEO OF THE DAY

Week 2
Weight: 225lbs
Tuesday(3/27) Day 1(Squat/Deadlift)
- Deadlift:
1x5(135lbs), 1x5(225lbs), 1x5(315lbs), 1x3(405lbs), 1x3(455lbs), 1x3(505lbs) - Axle Deadlift:

Reverse Sled Drag 4x15yards(405lbs)
Valslide Body Saw 4x10(BW)
Notes
- Deadlifts felt great today, was in a good position every rep, speed was unreal. Easily an RPE 6-7
- Axle Deadlifts were smooth and easy, even after a week I feel like my grip has improved, had no trouble holding onto 300lbs. RPE 6
- Feeling more confident with the SSB Squats, keeping my upper back tight and pulling the bar into my traps, two things I wasnt doing properly last week I feel like I succeeded in today. RPE 8
- Still only got 4 rounds this week, but all the reps and movements were alot cleaner and I wasnt as winded as last week. So still some improvement.
- I was a fat fuck this weekend, so I actually need to get my shit together diet wise.
