We’re not talking about me. We’re talking about the 1980 olympia. Funny how you guys who have no real argument have to change the topic of discussion. None of you have refuted my factual take on the 1980 olympia.
Again wrong, little one. Yates trained like most bodybuilders. Multiply sets. Multiple exercises. High frequency. He trained traditionally for many years. I have his books snd some articles from the 80’s. He was not doing his one set to failure huff then. Again, you hit fans want to deny reality.
“My factual take” is very close to an oxymoron.
Not made up. Just human error on CBS part. Coe’s account is made up so he could discredit Arnold. Problem with Coe is he has always been scared of Arnold. He never competed in the Olympia when Arnold dominated the stage 5 years in a row. Coe knew he had no chance. So, like Mentzer, to try to get back at Arnold by making up some crap about CBS pulling out because of a “fix.” CBS never stated pulling out because a fix because there wasn’t one. Real world evidence matter.
Facts don’t lie. Try refuting my comment on the 1980 olympia. If you can’t then be big enough to admit that you can’t and move on.
State the facts now.
I have no intention of reading through all your drivel searching for what you call 1980 Olympia facts.
If that is too difficult, just declare victory, like you have been doing throughout this thread.
So you can’t be bothered or, most likely, you don’t want to be proven wrong. Sorry little one but you’re going to have to read my earlier statement then come e back to me if you have anything substantial to state. If not then just move on.
I cannot discriminate your HIT “facts” from your 1980 Olympia “facts”
The fact that the outcome of the 1980 Olympia is still questioned to this day is extremely strong evidence that the outcome is controversial.
Have you ever been a qualified bodybuilding judge? Or have you just declared yourself qualified?
It is extremely difficult for me to see how a qualified judge could see the photographs and the judges score sheet from the 1980 Olympia, knowing it was judged by the points system, and not question the outcome.
There is no strong evidence of it ever being “controversal.” For one thing none of the judgrs admitted to it ever being a fix. Nothing stopping them from doing so. It’s always the bitter losers of a contest who will cry “fix” or “politics.”
As for photographs and footage I will post them and it will show Arnold was the winner of the 1980 olympia without question.
My guess is that you have never competed in a bodybuilding contest. Competitors don’t like their competition. They just don’t like each other when in competition. From the photos no one stood out obviously better than the field.
Do you know anything about the points system of the 20-20-20 rounds. The first round is symmetry. Arnold has always had a symmetry problem in that his thigh sweep isn’t adequate to compensate for his wide hips. Yet he got 20’s from 5 of the 7 judges. He doesn’t have ideal symmetry. He could be the absolute best physique and yet should not get 20 points in the first round against a group of top competitors.
I would have picked Arnold first if I were judging by placing first through last. Points system makes judging a mess. The judges start scoring the rounds how they think would best make to outcome they desire. It is a cluster. I would have probably scored Arnold 18-20-20. Providing he made the final posedown, I would most likely have placed him first. “You have to decisively beat the champ to be the champ!”
The fact is that the outcome is controversial because it is questionable in the eyes of many.
What makes you think I would have placed Mentzer second?
I know this is my opinion and is not a “fact”, but as a NPC National Judge who was qualified in 1979 and competed in a contest judged by the points system in 1970, but 5 out of 7 judges awarding Arnold 20 points in the symmetry round is extremely questionable.
I never mentioned which side I was on, I merely asked for a picture of your physique - but your reaction was quite telling.
I didnt.
It isnt. It was very close between the top 3. Arnold was the best that day. He gained the most points overall and won. There’s no question about it. You’re just wanting to see something that isn’t there, little one.
I am not sure why you wish to address me as “little one.” But if it helps make you feel superior, feel free to continue doing so. I will not attempt to label someone I have never met personally.
When an individuals arguement or debate fails it leads to name calling, as is the case here…the fella is attacking you, mentzer and others with name calling
