I would dance in the street if we could get Tancredo in office!!!

Lixy, you think we should apologize for the war? PLEASE STOP DRINKING THE BONG WATER!!! It is affecting your head.

You may not realize it, but your even funnier.

By any standard, what Tancredo spew out was plain ol’ terrorism. As for the war in Iraq, I think a public apology is in order considering what the Iraqis had to endure (and are still enduring) due to your invasion.

Vote for whomever pleases you, dance in the streets if you wish, but please refrain from starting silly threads like this. You could have made your point by appending the comment to the relevant thread. PM would work just as well.

The part about the bong water is hilarious though. I mean, living in the desert and all, do Muslims drink the bong water, since water is more precious there? Us redneck Americans want to know!!

Most Muslims live in cities or towns, far from any desert. Indonesia has more Muslims than any other nation on earth, and there are very few deserts there.

And it would more likely be hookah water, in any case. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tancredo’s comment really isn’t as ridiculous as it seems.

Mutually assured destruction worked during the cold war.

Given the lack of respect our enemy has for life (including his own) perhaps threatening his holy places would be more meaningful.

You will see bacon being sold in your stores and ham hocks being smoked in every backyard in the middle east before you ever hear an apology from the U.S.

I believe that all nations who recieve any sort of aid or assistance from the U.S.A should have that nations leaders publicly appear on television and thank all Americans for our generosity and willing spirt to help out in the world.

By the way, aren’t you sponging off of Sweden right now? Make sure you tell the real Swedes thanks for putting you up since you couldn’t accomplish an education from whatever shit pile country you sprung from.

TANCREDO ROCKS!!! He feels just like most Americans do about your kind, bitch slapping most of you out of here and seeing that you don’t arrive again. No to guest worker programs that lead to permanent residency status, no to citizenship births from illegal alien parents, and curtailing middle eastern (READ MUSLIM NATIONS) visas.

What a day that will be! Then you will see Americans doing the silly dances in the streets like you people like to do when you murder people with terrorists acts.

Fair’s fair. When is the US President going to publicly appear on television and thank all Japanese, Chinese and British for funding this vaunted American generosity and “willing spirt” by lending the government billions of dollars every year?

Oh, why pussy foot around? Why don’t we register them all, make them wear a yellow star and crescent on their clothes at all times for easy identification, prohibit Muslims from owning a gun or starting a business, burn books by Muslim authors, and make them all live in special Muslim areas of the cities. Then, when anti-Muslim sentiment is at its highest, it will be safe to ship them off to the works camps and gas chambers.[quote]

Are you, Naturallifter, really an honest representation of the way “most Americans” feel, and think, and speak? I pray God this is not the case, and weep for my country if it is.

I think the thanks is called “interest”. They are definitely not investing their money as a charity. They know where the safe money is to be made.

And with the weak dollar - foreign investment should be expected.

I don’t think anyone is twisting the arms of the Chinese, Japanese, or British to put their money in our system.

Excellent point, rainjack. Nor, I believe, are we projecting military power throughout the world as a charity or public service. Our thanks is called “influence” and “revenue.” We, too, know where money is to be made, even if it is not quite as safe as a T-bill.

C’mon Lixy! Lets smoke summa dat sweet desert dank you know that shit that makes dem arabs go off!

You be sure and let me know when we gain some influence, or the revenue starts rolling in. If it were as you say - why would we need foreign investment?

I think we should be taking their oil to pay for the war.

And I would never apologize for that.

Lixy’s up in the mountains of Afghanistan. Didn’t you know that? Its the rarified air up there, plus his cell leaders, that tell him to write all this cyber-jihad BS.

Goddammit, you guys are making my abs sore! Varq, between you and Naturalifter, I can’t stop laughing!

Bong water and crescent on their clothes!!! ROFLMAO!!!

Your hate evidently stems from ignorance. Truly, you have little to envy the Al-Qaeda drone for. Neither of you has a clue.

Old Tom may have his good points, but I would be very reluctant to vote for anyone so outspoken and belligerent about his own ignorance.

Essentially equating all global terror with Islam, and stating for the record that the only way to avert nuclear war is by threatening to bomb Mecca (should Britain also threaten to bomb the Vatican in order to stave off IRA attacks? The Irish are Catholic, aren’t they?) is at least as ludicrous as his devout denial of the theory of evolution.

Do we really need a President who just might take it upon himself to force the Department of Education to teach “creation science” in biology classes?

I find myself agreeing with President Bush’s brother Jeb: “What a nut. I’m just disappointed. He’s from my own party. He’s a Republican. He doesn’t represent my views.”

I predict that you will not be disappointed.

It hasn’t happened in 5 years. I wish I were just half as omniscient as you are…or are you just playing Carnac?

I didn’t even know they sold mayonnaise in Japan.

Well, it wouldn’t have, would it, considering the first thing the Iraqis did following our invasion was to blow up as many pipelines as they could, to keep us from transporting it out of the country.

Once the oil starts flowing again, it will be a different story. The price of gas might even go down.

Clearly Halliburton et al. would not be so willing to rebuild the infrastructure of the Iraqi oil industry if they didn’t expect fat profits at the end of our adventure. It’s already been a very profitable war for them.

…and they’re being paid with our money. I suggest we buy some Halliburton stock. Maybe the dividends will cover the taxes we paid that went into their pockets.

That’s me. See photo above.[quote]

Now you know. But they sell it in squeeze bottles, which makes it really hard to get the prophecies out.

Well, since turned into an oil discussion, the following was reported yesterday.

Poll: 63% of Iraqis Oppose Privatizing Nation’s Oil Resources

A new public opinion poll, has found that a majority of Iraqis oppose plans to open the country’s oilfields to foreign investment. 63% of respondents said they would prefer Iraq’s oil to be developed and produced by Iraqi public sector companies rather than foreign multinationals. The US government has been pressing Baghdad to pass an oil law by September but most Iraqis say they do not feel adequately informed about the law. Meanwhile UPI is reporting a top member of the Iraqi prime minister’s party says the new oil law should be delayed until U.S. occupation forces leave Iraq. Ali al-Adeeb said the Iraq National Oil Company should take the lead in developing and managing Iraq’s discovered but undeveloped oil.

Michael Moore’s ‘Foundation’ owns Halliburton stock. Several pharmaceuticals are in there as well. Ah well, beside the point…

You must remember always the story of the loyal little dog: each day, his master would send him to the butcher with a basket, knowing the loyal dog would never touch the meat he carried. One day, the dog was set upon by a pack of ravenous dogs who promptly began to eat the meat. The loyal dog knew if he tried to stop them, he’d be killed. So he started eating the meat as well.
