Sorry I wasn’t clear – I was comparing intelligence, as far as it seems determinable, not speaking ability. And I was specifically referencing FDR, not Teddy – I think Teddy was smarter.

the “Weapons of Mass Production” take was pretty funny.
Here’s my favorite:
“Your either with us or the terrorists and if you harbor terrorists you’ll suffer the same fate.”
That is an example of leadership under great pressure.
How about this one:
“Mother tell me about your son” That was spoken to the mother of a fallen firefighter after Sept. 11th.
Easy to take potshots when your ass is in the fire.
Grabbing a bullhorn, Bush told the chanting, cheering crowd, “I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked down these buildings will hear all of us soon.”
“The nation sends its love and compassion to everybody who’s here. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for making the nation proud, and may God bless America,” Bush added, raising his arm.
Who here really believes that if Al Gore won in '00 and Kerry wins this year that the Democrats would have half of the balls that President Bush has and would of dealt with everything he has had to in his term any better. Bush tells it how it is and the liberals and the appeasment crowd can’t stand that he takes a stand against them. If you really believe that the economy all of a sudden went bad just because G.W.B. was President then you need to open your eyes. The recession started back in “Mr. Cigar” Clinton. It was compound by 9/11 and the after math. Yeah he was wrong about the WMD in Iraq, but you know, I believe it was worth it to get rid of Saddam. I have to stop. Spending too much time on T-Mag and I need to get back to work.

old page that pokes some fun at bush, good read
i think it’s hilarious that people look to Bush’s educational “achievements” as evidence that he’s a man of even marginal intelligence. Bush was a legacy at Andover, at Yale, and at HBS. in fact, the only reason he played the family-card to attend HBS was that he was denied admission at the University of Texas Law School, which had done away with its legacy system. so let’s not get carried away with Bush’s shining educational pedigree. i have a JD from Harvard and my roommate has an MBA and i can unequivocally say that the most difficult part is getting in. it doesnt surprise me for a second that Bush could graduate from Harvard Business School, i’d be willing to bet most high school honors students could breeze through it.
Here’s a recent one, out of context for you:
“I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.” ? John Kerry, March 16, 2004
O.K., husky vote for Kerry and be done with it. He’s gotta be your man, right?
O.K., husky, vote for Kerry and be done with it. He’s gotta be your man, right? While you’re at it. Convert and become a Muslim terrorist. If Kerry get’s in, you can hold your breath and wait for the bombs to go off. Grand Central, LAX etc. etc.
that quote with the Bullhorn gives me chills everytime I hear it. Its things like that that make me wonder how people can question his off the cuff ability.
and I will add that any of you fucking Democrats calling in Congressional offices for Moveon.org calling for Bush to be Censured need to have your head examined…and if it didnt cost me my job I would chew your dumb ass out
Hey Derek, can you respond to my PM and let me know where you found the oil numbers and the liberal quotes?
