Ever since I got my garage gym to a usuable state, it’s just part of the routine - like washing the dishes.
Gym, it’s like a drug, gets blood flowing, life gets better after gym sessions, you get better, stronger, gym makes you younger, what better motivation would you ever need.
You need some motivation? Go to a contest where someone you know is competing. Seeing the final results of such a long arduous process as a contest prep is pretty damn cool!

Right now my motivation is retribution. I competed in the past, but promised myself to take time off, with school and raising a family I was not planning to do a competition any time soon.
But then someone I went to school with when I was younger basically stole the program my cousin set her up with to get competition ready and she started selling that to others. I thought that was underhanded, so I decided it was time to come back, my plan or goal is to turn pro before she does, since we both are aiming at the same federation it is easy to keep track of.
Oooh! I’m following along this storyline! ![]()

The plan was to compete this year, but a week before the show my wife had a miscarriage, that night I signed up for summer classes, since it would be less demanding on the family. (This is what I meant when I said elsewhere that I did not do the show for personal reasons).
My goal is to start dieting again at New Year’s, then what ever show is close when I am ready, hit it up.
I should add that I find pics of people who are lean either male or female, to be motivating for controlling myself around food, gives perspective on long-term satisfaction.
